Hey guys im looking into one of these PRGR Zoom 320 CX Utility Woods along with the tourstage viq and was wondering what the prgr quality is like? the club seems mucho expensive for a utility...only being rivalled by the viq ut. any words of wisdom or past prgr experience would help my decision...thanks....

PS chris do u know if it is poss to change the shaft in these...and what the hosel diameter is?

I'll help ease your decision making process a bit. Unfortunately the ViQ is no longer available as production has ceased. I was in the same boat & had actually ordered the ViQ but will now be sliding over to the 320 CX. I pm'd Chris in regards to shaft options/if any; I'll pass all info along to you when I hear back.

I really dont know, my CX is on the way, the X-UT may not be out for a while. Going by my experience, PRGR makes better quality equipment with better technology and materials. PRGR still makes its clubs in Japan where as Tourstage is made in China, IMO you get what you pay for and the difference between Tourstage and PRGR justifys the cost.

FYI, the ViQ and F-UT were pretty much identical in profile but with different feel.

PRGR website doesn't show Nippon shafts as an option for either 220i and 320CX. But can you possibly custom order with 950GH?

Also, what do you hear about the 220i. I had two 040i's and I really liked them. The Duo Hit 13.5* hit the ball really long also.

big east as far as i know prgr do not do custom shafts as their M series is a high end shaft already! the only option available for the 320cx is the m shaft.......but not 100% sure about the 220i. :cool:

i ordered my 320cx at the start of the week and cant wait to give it a rip!

If your interested in Steel you can special order it with the M Series Steel spec shafts that are rated by swing speed M40, M43, M46.

They feel great very nippon like. PRGR stock graphite is also very good.

I'm trying to find replacements for my MP-33 4 and 3 irons. I actually think a 220i (23*) and a 320CX (20*) might do a great job. What ya guys think??? :love:

the 220i as your 4 iron and the 320cx 20* would be a great combo....this way you have the 2 iron lofts cover, as well as two types of lie covered....ie in the rough use the 320 cx hybrid and off a tight lie use the 220i :laugh: :cool:

By the way, doesn't the 320CX look kinda ugly? :mad: What does eveyoen else think?

I definitely don't think it's the prettiest hybrid on the market, (not the ugliest either, imo) but to me it inspires confidence at address & that's all I'm looking for. :wink:

Dave, are you playing one right now? What loft do you have? How does it play?

I'm seriously thinking of getting a 220i 23* and a 20* 320CX but I might have to go with a 220i and a Miz UX2 if the 320CX is too ugly.

certainly has......i found for my game the ux2 didnt fit! it has quite a deep face and a low penetrating flight.....whereas what i was looking in a utility was a high drop n stop club! a position the prgr should fill well! :love:
