Posted October 9, 200519 yr comment_104933 Im looking at these shafts and trying to figure out which one would be good for me. I swing around 105 fairly smooth tempo with a lot of lag. The shaft will be going into a 9.5 callaway FT3 driver. I dont like shafts that feel whippy. Im looking at either the 6068m or the 6568m any help would be great.
October 9, 200519 yr comment_104935 personally i would have recommended the 6064m! this way you will get excellent feel but not be too whippy.... as far as i can remember tourspecgolfer ( chris ) swings similar speed to u and used this shaft with great success! i swing around the same as you ...slightly slower on average, and i first tried the 6564 which was way too stiff! the 6060 actually worked best for me....therefore i had to swollow my pride and get an r flex....but hey it works great! the 6068 is an s flex but cpms at 280......! thats high dude :cool:
October 9, 200519 yr Author comment_104938 I did a search and from what i saw people say they dont cpm out to what the company says. The 6064 says s/r And to be honest I never had sucess with a softer shaft. Ive tried them and i hit stiffer ones better.
October 10, 200519 yr comment_104961 true they probably dont cpm as high as suggested ...although the 6564 i had was around 265 but felt and played stiffer! however if you definately would rather error on the stiff side then go for the 6068! :cool:
October 10, 200519 yr comment_104969 I have had a lot of experience with Axiv shafts. They all play stiffer than stated. The 6064 says S/R but has always had a freq that was more firm than stiff.
