+TourSpecGolfer
anyone can provide some feedback on the difference between Iron Wood vs driving iron? The Hybrid/Wood/Utility Wood/Iron Wood is very similar to a Fairway wood in the sense that it is a wood usually made of titanium or steel and you may often see carbon crowns or sole designs with rails: Tourstage VIQ Utility Wood: The Driving Iron is much more iron like usually made of forged steel with inner weighting bringing the C.O.G lower. These tend to be more accurate, with a lower ball flight with many of the long iron like characteristics, the reason why people replace their 3,4, and sometimes 5 irons with these is because they are easier to hit due to the inner weighting, larger sole and thicker topline etc.. plus1
greaty pics! personally i feel the utility is much easier to hit, that gives a great high drop and stop action. whereas the driving iron produces a lower more penetrating flight. many people actually play both...ie driving iron as 2 iron and utility as 16 degree!
