sly_sam
My swing is at 105 mph right now and I'd like to know what flex I should get for this. Also, can I get some info on how tha ball flies (trajectory, distance, stability)? Thanks Sammy
Lowpro
stiff flex....... depends on what head it will be going into - as to if you need to tip it any.. also your swing-- smooth or aggressive... great shaft.. it will produce a mid to high ball flight.. low spin... mr_duffer
A buddy of mine has one (stiff) in a R7 TP. And with my SS 105-110, it's a nice fit.
sly_sam
Okay, right at the moment the head going into it is a Cleveland 400, unless I get ahold of a Nike SQ Tour soon. That probably won't happen to I'll be pulling that shaft from the Cleveland 400 and putting it into the SQ Tour later on. Between smooth and agressive, I'm closer to agressive. I surely don't coast through it like Big Easy. I'm not quite a JD or a TW either.

I have a similar swing speed as you. I had a regular flex in a 3W and it worked good. If it was a heavier shaft I probably would still be playing it. greg199631
My SS is right at 100 I want to put this shaft into an R5 TP I would very much like to hear any tipping advise you may have. The shaft is a stiff my tempo is average to quick and I have a LATE release, thanks.
sly_sam
It also may go into an FT-3 Fusion. If I can get the FT-3 with it as a custom option It'd be one of my top combos. I need a shaft that won't pull left on me. My speed has gone up a bit since then but I love the ultra light weight. If anyone knows how I can get ahold of an FT-3 with a Fuji Six in it (custom option) give me a shout.

I think any pro shop can order one. http://www.callawaygolf.com/en.CLUBS.Drive...age-shafts.html & I liked the shaft In my R7 tp. But IMO, nothing compares to an in a Ft-3. NOTHING! :tsg_smiley_embarrassed: Sorry for yelling. :tsg_smiley_embarrassed: Edited March 25, 2006 by the1stunner
sly_sam
I've reconsidered the FT-3 for the X 460 Tour. Although it has a nice shaft in it, I may still have it ordered with the SIX.

Although it has a nice shaft in it, I may still have it ordered with the SIX. The six is still a waaaaaaaaay better shaft than the tour platform. I prefer a 75 gram shaft in my driver but I thought the six is a verry smoth feeling shaft with plenty of kick. It's good enough for Stuart Appleby to play for years It's good enough for us. I had to pull a tiger & put some lead tape under the grip & a balance certified plug in the butt of the shaft. :tsg_smilie_cool: In my R7 tp I had a nice penetrating ball flight that was true to the 8.5* loft of the club. My ss is around 115 +/- 3 mph depending on my back and I never felt the shaft loose control or like I needed it tipped. I would go with a stiff or even a regular since the shaft is in a bore through head. Edited March 28, 2006 by the1stunner
sly_sam
The Callaway Opti Fit system for shaft fitting is coming in April to retailers so I'll get a chance to get fit for the X 460 with a wide range of shafts on the Vector. I really don't like the NVS at all so having that as a stock in an FT-3 would be crap. I'm hoping my local store will have this coming.
