Sgt_Slaughter
Beautiful looking and it is working because he is back to winning now. Let's see what Tiger brings us in 2006.
Henry
As much as I admire Tiger and his ability as a golfer, his swing plane looks a little flat compared to swing pictures I have seen dating back to 1998-1999.
Sgt_Slaughter
As much as I admire Tiger and his ability as a golfer, his swing plane looks a little flat compared to swing pictures I have seen dating back to 1998-1999. That is because it is a little more flat. His swing has changed a lot due to the knee surgery he had in 2003. The old swing of 1998-2000 that he still used put way to much stress on his left knee and it was more upright. He changed it to put less stress on the knee and made it a little flat. taipanli
They should also have highlighted his right elbow - 90 degrees pointing to the ground. IMO it's one of the keys to consistent driving. From the position at the top, it's a lot easier to slot the club on the downswing. My best driving days have always been when I get that feeling of being in the perfect slot at the top. The kind of days where I can't miss a fairway. Tiger is pure controlled power. victor2000
I believe that Tiger is working on the following............. at impact, his right arm is a little underneath his left - which causes the clubhead to turn over too much....if you look at his follow through from face on view - at the 3 o'clock position, his arms have turned over too much. Once he gets his right arm more "on top" at impact then he can hold the face square and eliminate that "flip" move". Then you will see the ball moving on less of an angle than we saw in 2003 - 2005. His driving will again be a huge strength! -dm
Croonie15
The right arm angle is skewed, it is not directly behind tiger, and at impact you'd see tigers forarms match up perfectly and on plane. But these pictures do show that tiger has not FLIPPED his hands at all, his right hand is flat like his left hand was on the back swing and his left wrist is in the same posistion that is right wrist was on the back swing. His posistions are almost perfectly symetric and nuetral. His golf swing will only improve and he will only become more consistent. It's going to be a nice year for tiger in 06 Croonie

sfgolfer
Look at that classic "squat"/lateral shift he has in picture #8. Beautiful and very Snead-esque. No wonder it's so enjoyable to watch the man swing!
