acrazygolfer
I played a quick 9 holes before the rain this morning and for the last four rounds, the iron shots are going left ... not dead straight left and not duck hook left. I'm not hitting the green, but rather about 5 to 10 yards left of the green! :tsg_smilie_wah: What's going on?
italianstallion
Check your left foot if you are a righty (vise versa if you are lefty) You may be picking your left foot up just a little on the takeaway. Try and keep it planted on the ground.
acrazygolfer
Thanks. I'll try it at the range.
sfgolfer
Thanks. I'll try it at the range. When that happens to me, it means I'm going straight back on the takeway (too steep).
migoi
This problem originates for me also on the takeaway, when my takeaway starts a little outside the line I tend to hit my shots left of target. I do a drill where I set my wrists early in the takeaway and complete the backswing with my arms and shoulders, this will usually resolve the dreaded left and more left shot.
