Don't go with the TM's. I'm so sick of hearing about Taylor Made Drivers. I've hit them many times and I havn't been too impressed. I know that's gonna step on some toes around here, but oh well.

Out of those Drivers, I don't think you could go wrong with the Cleveland or the Mizuno. I've only hit a few Callaway drivers, so I don't know much about them. I like the Cleveland drivers a lot, and I use the MP-001 10 degree right now. I like it, but I think I'll be getting a new driver some time this year as well.

I like my 580, but I am looking to upgrade and I have had my eyes on a C Comp for some time, I was at Golf Galaxy this weekend and took some cuts with Mizuno Comp, Clev Comp, G5, and the R7 425.

I like the R7, didn't mind the ping that much, as usual grinned ear to ear over the cleveland and was thoroughly impressed with the Miz.

Out of the 4, my choice is between the 2 comps without a doubt. I hit both just as far as each other and found little to no seperation of shot angle, flight, traj, or dispersion. The mizuno is a real looker.

I could easily go either way, all comes down to more testing, they were both priced the same and felt grrrrrrreat. My friend mitch said he would get them fit into better shafts for me, he knows my swing better than anyone. He sold me the 580 that I have know which has given me $hit loads of accuracy and fairways.

I am going back this saturday, I think he was going to try and set up 4 drivers. I think he mentioned a Rombax in both and a diamana in both. Not sure of the names he was throwing around.

I went back on Satruday to make a decision between the Miz and Clev, again it was very difficult to choose either, they are very well matched against each other, the accuracy and dispersion where identical.

Normally get a large number from the tee with my 580 but I was very pleased with the change in my average distance per drive with the 2 comps, club speed increased as well as ball speed, .(which I will never mention on TSG or any other golf forum again!!) launch angle was spot on @ 11* to 13*using 9.5* loft and I can see either club in my bag. :tsg_smilie_money3:

It is just a matter of wanting to be all Mizuno from driver on down or, whether I really care what I use!! Dropping strokes and throwing away mistakes is all I am after. In LIMBO I am boys. I need a chart showing a comparison using the Iron Byron. I have to get technical know.

Still no clear choice, wish me luck!! :tsg_smilie_sad:

AA,

From one Mizzie fan to the other, GO WITH THE MIZ!! That driver sets up sweet imo, but the only time I tried it was with an NV shaft that wasn't close for my swing. I've got a red diamana on order from Chris, and I was actually thinking of putting it in the 500 or waiting for the 905R. Either way, you can't go wrong. :atsg_logo_anim:
