Gauge Design NC-1's

Thanks to everyone who looked at them and didn't pull the trigger when I had these in BST repeatedly over the last 2 months. 52* here today in Wisconsin so I took the plastic off and went and played. In a word...quality. My driving and putting were erratic but the irons weren't and the sound was nothing like I had ever experienced. Also, what a difference in feel with the Nippon 1150's versus the 950's. I can't imagine(granted, only one round and no range time) there is a better set. Thanks Chris.

'Every cloud has a silver lining'.......

I'm glad it has worked out for you, maybe fate had a hand?

I have to say though that I never really uderstood why you went to all that trouble in getting them and then having the set made up only to try to sell them..... without even trying them, you showed amazing restraint,

much more than I could have LOL.

I hope the good feelings last.

I had no choice in terms of restraint...the snow arrived the same day the irons were delivered.

There is always a honeymoon period so we will see. Once I have had a chance for range time and 5-10 rounds I will post a review but hopefully not an ad in BST at the same time. Thanks Corky.

Good to hear, and I am glad things worked out for you as well. I too sympathize with the snow thing. I got some slightly used NC-1 with 1150 and plus 1/2 inch, which is the perfect setup for me.(and I mean slightly, I am almost afraid to get them dirty). Unfortunately I will have to wait 3 more months here to be able to really try them, other than hitting into a net, or chipping with them in the basement (always a wife pleaser).

Hearing your comments, has got me all the more impatient. :tsg_smilie_cool:

Glad to see you took the plunge as I know you were close to pulling the trigger on my set. 52* here yesterday...snowing today :tsg_smilie_sad:

Hopefully you don't have to wait 3 months to play them.

Selling, not selling, selling again....? Hard to keep up. :atsg_logo_anim:
