pingwrx
Hello. I'm looking to purchase one of these 3 woods, can anybody give me their opinions on these 3? The most important factor for me is that the fairway wood needs to sit square to open. Does any of these fit the bill? Thanks in advance. The top 3 sqaure faced 3 woods on the market IMO are the G-Field GFT, Tourstage X-ST, and RC BBD H2. Most muted goes to the XST, Most solid to the GFT, H2 is just a higher launching head than the original BBD Type H.

Chris. Do you know how the RC BBD Type H2 compares to the RC Cv Pro fairway wood in terms of forgiveness and trajectory? Thanks! I know my RC Type-H 3 wood sits a hair closed to help answer the original question. Edited February 10, 2006 by dkats

So to clarify, are you saying these 3 are equally square or is the GFT most square then X-ST then BBD H2? Also I use to have a BBD Type H 15 degree, I thought this was a bit closed face, is the BBD H2 different? THanks

The GFT has a more compact eye pleasing profile from above. The X-ST is a tad bigger. The Type H2 I have seen square and .5 closed, of the three i would rate it last. Chris. Sounds like more than several people have had RC FW's that setup closed so I would count them out of the consistently square category, In regards to the new H2 vs the new C.V pro the H2 is supposed to have a lower center of gravity making it a higher launch head. Hello Chris, Do you have any of the GFT for sale? I didn't see any in your Pro Shop, nor at your eBay store.
+TourSpecGolfer
Hello Chris,Do you have any of the GFT for sale? I didn't see any in your Pro Shop, nor at your eBay store. Yes I do, just drop me a PM. I can get them with just about any shaft option under the sun, I suggest the PT-7 by Graphite Design. #3 = 14* #4 = 16* #5 = 18* #7 = 20* #9 = 23* I am playing the 4 & 7 with PT-7 Tour AD stiff shafts, never been happier with a FW. +TourSpecGolfer
In the last 3 weeks I have hit just about every FW on the market. The Tourstage X-ST has fallen down the ranking while the GFT, Royal Collection H2, and M3 Hit are top in their class. I am stuck between the GFT foamed 4 wood with PT-7 Stiff vs the PRGR M3 Hit w/M46 INSPEC by FSP, which is an oversized FW but so easy to hit from the short grass and off the tee. Based on looks alone the GFT and H2 have the most refined and eye pleasing shape ever in any FW. M3 Hit GFT FW RC H2 all easy winners IMO.
