zissou
For some odd reason I cant' see my own post. An error occurred somehow. plus1 responded to my first post. Thanks. So i'll have to ask again. Who should I have refinish my combo set of 3-5 cb-1005 and 6-PW mb-5002? When I got them there was no paintfill. So I figured why not have them refinished. I emailed Muira themselves and Bill, said they don't do that. He aslo states that Mr. Miura cautions refinishing may alter the head weights. I know that risk, but what the hell. Thanks again everybody. Oh yeah, does Master Joe Kwok do refinishing? Phil :tsg_smilie_wink:

gus
The Iron Factory should be up and running soon. They do a nice job of refinishing iron heads in my opinion. If you get the tour chrome it shouldn't mess with the swing weights that much at all. I would have one of the good club guys (Chip Usher or Paul Manco) reshaft them with Tour Concepts. I just built a set of Miura Combo's and love them with the TC S3's in D3 swing weight very much. Awesome shafts!

zissou
Thanks for the input guys! I wonder what plus1 said on my og post that i can't read. :tsg_smilie_sad: I was thinking about putting x-flex 1150 nippon's on them. Does anyone know why the nippon wrap tech seem to only come in 70-80 gram weights? Kinda light for an iron shaft for me. I guess the lightness thing for increased swing speed. :tsg_smiley_embarrassed:
hornyjuan
Talk to Ari at Scratch. I'm sure he has his own plater and maybe even get the japan finish for a pretty penny.
+TourSpecGolfer
It really depends on what finish, For brushed satin I only suggest a company in Japan or China, for Chrome, Black, etc.. U.S.A is fine. Joe Kwok doesn't do refinishing he sends them out to a plating co in the states. My honest take on this is you need not have them done unless your in love with them or they have sentimental value to you. It will cost you quite a bit in the end when your just gonna scuff them up again and again with a grin.

I guess they are not worth the trouble then. I just wanted them all purdy again. The other thing was that by buddy who sold me both sets said the full cb set had deeper grooves then the combo set. So I figured the combo set with no paintfill had to be done up to spec's. Know what I mean. I was thinking that the combo set was an "unfinished" set to be done up right? Thanks again. BTW. How much would this run me? (round figure) phil :tsg_smilie_money3:

(round figure) phil :tsg_smilie_money3: As a Miura player, if you want purdy...my recommendation is to buy a scothbrite flap wheel from home depot or lowes or some hardware store. Chuck it up and go over the irons. They will be looking purdy...in seconds. That is the great thing about the satin finish. As for the grooves, all Miura irons are spec'd with the same grooves. If the grooves are different or deeper, they were done after market, not by Miura. The great thing about buying a Miura iron is you will get the exact same club, that any tour player would receive. That is there standard. They will not deviate to save money or lower there production costs. Miura is the real deal forged, ground, polished and plated to the most exacting standards. zissou
Thanks for the info. Purdy I do want. I just wanted them back to brand new. :tsg_smilie_whistle: I really appreciate all the thoughts on what to do. Thanks again! Why is there no Miura icon :tsg_smilie_whistle:
