Posted April 8, 200618 yr comment_118654 Anybody have any great putter suggestions on a putter that is 360 grams or heavier. Right now, I use a Yes Tracy and so far this is the best putter I've used. I'm wondering if I would like a slightly heavier putter even more? I feel that it is hard to find out how much putters weigh. Not everyone provides that information; whether its manufacturers or even putters you find on eBay. How heavy is the "The Fat Lady Swings" putter? I'm open to all suggestions, old or new.

The John Byron/Byron Design S4 has a 400 gran head. Beneath the smooth face are great looking oval mill marks in an expanding, overlapping pattern. It's an Anser style head with an extended flange and an offset plumbers neck hozel. I bought it because I thought the increased adrenaline when putting would make a heavier putter feel normally weighted. It did, but it's not heavy enough to overcome my flawed stroke. There's also the Heavy Putter, which weighs about 2 pounds... about twice the normal putter's weight. You might also look into Balance Certified Big Oak putters.

You could put some sand or sugar in the shaft of your existing putter. I did this with my BB2 and now it performs fantastic. This was also the subject of another post some time ago. Golfsmith also have a 220 gram putter shaft they sell for about $15. Just a couple of suggestions. Edited April 8, 200618 yr by Jack lives here
April 8, 200618 yr comment_118674 Many of the Gauge Design and Gold's Factory putters have the option of upgrading the weight using military grade Tungsten plugs. Chris would have more information on this, but I have seen some of the putters from the Pro Division of Gauge Design and they are SICK!! You could get the head and overall up to whatever weight you desire.
April 8, 200618 yr Author comment_118683 How much does "The One" weigh? What other Gauge Design putters are heavier without a special order? Names please. I'm just looking to buy a great putter that is aleady heavy. I've tried out those "Heavy Putters" and they are too heavy. I like the new designs from Gauge, and the new Mizuno/Bettinardi putters. Chris might have some stats for me on these when it comes to weight. The other problem that I have is that I need a 35" putter. I guess I'll just have to reshaft, huh?
April 26, 200618 yr Author comment_119623 Will 370G do?PRO DIV Forged L I wish I had an idea on how heavy that actually is? I know my Yes Tracy is like 340 so I think something around 355 to 360 would be best, but I won't rule this guage putter out of the question. I think the only thing that might get me about this L putter is the price. Any other suggestions on the new Mizuno/Bettinardi or Gauge putters???
