sunshine8
Can anyone describe the tradeoffs between the 2 for feel/distance/forgiveness? They look a lot alike; I've got to think the VIQ are a little bigger with more offset? Thanks! Edited April 9, 2006 by sunshine8
+TourSpecGolfer
Can anyone describe the tradeoffs between the 2 for feel/distance/forgiveness?They look a lot alike; I've got to think the VIQ are a little bigger with more offset? Thanks! I hit both, the VIQ Forged has more offset, a slightly thicker top line and larger bulk near the sole. The XCB2 is much more player and I would say 20% less forgiving yet both are very user friendly, feel is the same as well as distance. If I had a choice it would be the XCB2. Bat
IMO The X-Blade CB is much more demanding. It has virtually no offset, thinner topline, and smaller size. The VIQ forged looks very much like my TS-202 at address. Distance and forgiveness is also very similar to the TS-202. I want to say that the X-Blade CB felt more solid but then it maybe because of the DG S200 as opposed to the NS.Pro 950 in the VIQ forged I demoed. Henry
I agree with everyones comments. The ViQ Forged clubs have more offset and thicker top line BUT, in my opinion, is also a players club. If you are a low single digit handicaper, go with the CB2. If you are a high single digit handicaper, I would recommend the ViQ Forged. you will not be disappointed.
