April 25, 200619 yr I have an opportunity to acquire a 553 Tour Spec X in a 41.5" finished length. Is that, on average, a finished length of a 3wd shaft?
May 21, 200619 yr may be a tad short-- most three woods in graphite are 43'' long.. all depends on the hosel depth of your 3wd.... check it out.. 1st
June 26, 200619 yr Ask the seller what he means by "finished length". I read that to mean the finished length of the entire club is 41.5" by USGA measurements, but he could mean 41.5" is the length of the shaft without a head...I don't know. If the shaft itself is 41.5" I think you'll be fine unless your head is a bore-through. You may end up popping in a 0.5"-1" extension depending on your length preference, bore depth, etc., but if the shaft is cheap, I don't see any problem with it.
