yeah, i was being retarded and didn't google it or anything, anyone play it by the way, I remember M. Wie played a honma shaft, anything special about it?

Very solid shafts, made in Japan. very popular on the JPGA even with non honma players. excellent kick and we have them available. I will be listing them in the pro shop shortly.

that looks diferent than the armarqs I have seen, is it a Japan spec?

Beres is a Japanese company so yes.

This ARMRQ is the 64g standard shaft option.

Just add on information on the shaft (from the 2005 Honma catalog):

'Armrq 864: Athlete's model trusted by Honma's professional golfers. Four-directional carbon keeps the head on track while flexing the grip on the backswing, speeding up head. Head holds steady even for hard hitters, ensuring square impact and pinpoint accuracy. kickpoint: mid/high, torque: 4.6 (r flex) weight: r/64g, s/67.5g.

Further to the catalog, the 864 is a Honma branded shaft. Beres shafts have a different number denomination (but as already mentioned, Beres is a brand within the Honma stable). Armrq is supposed to be the acronym of their armor quad technology for shafts. It's supposed to be a concept similar to fujikura rombax and mamiya axiv.

For further reference, check out www. honmagolf.co.jp. They have an english section as well.

Naisu,

I play the s flex. It plays true to flex, and isn't what I would call a soft s flex, usually associated with Japan market drivers.

XXIO,

'Everybody Hurts Sometimes!' REM

I know you. Eventually the TW460 with ARMRQ Proto will be in my hands. You know it's a tad stiff, yet a bit high launch for you and PERFECT for me. I will be patient like a grasshopper.

It's a terrible shaft. I'll trade you a graffaloy prolite for it. :tsg_smilie_whistle:

Time marches on. 10 years ago the prolite was the ants pants.
