tourkita
From Japan... http://www.taylormadegolf.com/japan/produc...00_360XD_FW.asp Picked up a couple 3 and 7 R540xd f'ways on another b'board, but kept getting outbid for the 5 on ebay...then came across this Japanese club (as seen in TM Japan website above) for a lot less than the R540xd...seems the same (except for the finish...the 360 is metalic not flat black) but I haven't heard or seen anything about it. I got these as an update to my Firesoles, which I've had since '99 except for a month when I sent them out for black powdercoating to match my R series driver. So for my first post here, I thought I'd contribute this find/and inquiry...this is a beautiful club (got TWO actually, one with a Fuji TP/TR 27.3 in stiff, the other in the OEM xd50 reg. shaft that I'm hoping matches the 55gm Fuji shaft in my R540xd 3/7 (AND in my TM R510(not TP) tour, still my favorite driver) ... The head is midsize for a TM model with a broader sole than the V and a smaller crown than the 580/R5/R7 models... My Japanese isn't very good, but the specs are pretty clear, and from the pix I can see that the face technology is like the V-steel model and that the shaft has 4.4 deg torque, a mid-kick and D0 swingweight, similar to the R5 series 55 Fuji shaft. Has anyone any info on it? Or any experience with it? Thanx for your replies...

Im not exactly sure what Maxfli has but this is what i was told by their staff.
tourkita
Thanx for your reply...You're RIGHT...almost... This is a bit confusing I imagine...but the Japanese TaylorMade line has TWO versions of the R360xd: one the R360xd and the other the the R360xd Extra Distance...yes, I know xd STANDS for EXTRA DISTANCE, and so the 2nd designation seems redundant, but there it is...not atypical Japanese obfuscation. Anyway, the Maxfli version is the STANDARD R360xd as I see it in this pic and from the Japanese website http://www.tgw.com/images/products/clubs/m...65/ptl-sole.jpg the Maxfli Blue Max fairway looks like the this next one... Here's the Japanese website that has the 360xd ... http://www.taylormadegolf.com/japan/produc...00_360XD_FW.asp here you can see the reference to th c455 face, similar to the Vsteel... and the TaylorMade Japanese page of 'vintage' clubs where you can see both 360 woods http://www.taylormadegolf.com/japan/compan...te/c_s_map2.asp and here's the TMJ home page http://www.taylormadegolf.com/japan/products/products.asp Thanx again for your reply...
