gField CCB-1 vs. EPON Type X

I'm looking at maybe getting another set of irons. Ones that are a little more forgiving than my Srixon i506s. I'm a 13 index, so I don't always make great contact and find I lose quite a bit of distance, and generally mis**t some shots and miss greens per round.

I like the look of the g-Field CCB-1 and the EPON Type X. Wondering if anyone could compare the two? (feel, offset, strong lofts?, forgiveness, head size) I believe I read that the CCB is cast and the EPON is forged.

Would the Beres 801s or 701s be in the same catagory?

i was wondering about the g-field ccb's also. i am basically in the same boat as albatros including the handicap. i already have forgiving clubs (TM OS2) but wanted something a little softer and something that i could somewhat control. instead of just being big and bulky! so does anybody know how the ccb's feel or would forged clubs just be better.

Since G-field has changed its irons manufacturer I have not been too thrilled by what they are releasing. They had no choice as Kyoei cant keep up with their numbers. They make the best putters, awesome wedges, great woods etc.. but I don't suggest the CCB or NC-1's.

The Epon Type X is a very good choice, forged, better feel and design IMO.

For me there wasnt, i liked the PRO II better as it felt a tad softer due to the smaller undercut area.

it also had a bit less offset while still having a meaty sole. very very good iron. if it wasnt the type Js in my bag i would have the PRO II, im a fairly good striker so all 3 sets performed very well.
