I noticed that the Works V-01R driver has been added to the pro shop. Has anyone hit this or the conforming 'V-01R PROSPEC' - how long/forgiving is it?

Also, does anyone know much about the X-01R irons? They appear to be some kind of super MOI iron, but the lofts do not appear to be ridiculously strong compared to other thin faced irons. I notice that some Japanese shops are now discounting this iron heavily. When were the X-01R's released? Are they being updated (hence the price drop), or are they just not selling well?

Unfortunately, these are some pretty old clubs. Chris should be able to get you the lowdown on any new coming from them.

I remember Chris talking about this driver a few months ago. In fact the description in the pro-shop matches what he posted a while back. To me it seems like a fad club with the "Japanese World Record Holder" using the club people are flocking to buy it. How many of us mortals can generate that kind of club head speed to hit it 400 yards? I say stick with what's proven for us average-better than average golfers. The Epon 460 seems to be HOTT right now I might just have to spend the big bucks.

Thanks for the info. No wonder the irons were being discounted 50% on the Japanese websites I looked at.

Looks like I'll have to keep waiting patiently for the MX-25s! If only I saw some pics of the Mizunos I wouldn't have to keep ho'ing around! :)

The photo's of the MX-25's should be up in about 2 weeks. I'll try to have some later this week.
