Randy
Just posted a similar question about drivers. I currently have the EPON Technity x type irons and am really impressed with them, so thought I would ask opions about the driver and fairway woods. Currently have a TS X-ST 15 degree FW and was wondering how it compares to the Technica 3 Wd. If anyone has hit both, I would greatly appreciate any input/opinion you have have on the two. Thanks in advance for any input you may provide. Aloha Randy
FairwayFred
I have had both of these also and again I would give the nod to the Technity. Again this is just a perfect looking club. The TourStage is also very good looking but the Technity just has a better shape and face profile imo. Feel I give to TourStage. Very solid typical TS feel. The Technity has a little bit of a strange sound very solid but not quite as good as the TS. Neither is the least bit tingy. Distance I give the nod to the Technity I hit it further especially on tee shots. I also can work the ball better with the Technity and I find it quite a bit more forgiving likely due to the fact that it is forged Ti so they had alot more internal weight to play with. +TourSpecGolfer
I would stay away from both. If the EPON didnt feel so mute it would win hands down, but it has a very soft thwack mute sound to it. More so than any other FW i have ever felt. The X-ST is a pretty decent performer, I still like the GFT by G-Field over both of these and I also like the BBD type H2 with Tour AD PT-7 combo. Recently I am in the craze for steel headed fairway woods.

Is it mainly a sound and feel issue of the G Field vs. the Epon, or is there any difference in results as far as distance or forgiveness? What is the difference in face height and overall volume between the two? Thanks Edited August 24, 2006 by dorkman53
