shinichi808
hey peeps, i'm planning on reshafting my irons with these shafts but i have a few questions first. 1. do these shafts play true to flex? i currently play dg x100. 2. does neone know if they're available in parallel tip? i have the x-ut (i'm assuming its a .370 tip) and was hoping to reshaft it to match the irons. thanks for the help :tsg_smilie_wink:

I know for sure that nippon have a 950 paraleel utility shaft. which i found worked great in my old mizuno UX2
Blader-X
Can't recommend these shafts enough! I too used to play DG x100 for quite a long time. I went with Nippon's M266V for TourStage in the new irons in January and then recently switched to the 1150GH Tours in x-stiff. The 1150's by far give a stronger ball flight, but much enhanced feel. Disperson with these shafts IMO is better than x100's. In terms of distance, I feel I'm about 2-3 yards longer with the 1150's. I believe they are as stiff as the x100's but because they are so silky smooth they may have a feeling of not being as stiff. If they are less stiff than the x100's its not by much and it may be because the kick point is higher in the 1150 than x100. Very playable shaft. Lot's of fun. I say give them a try. Blader-X
nice...i really want to try these shafts now! haha. i thought the kick point was higher on the dg's? Your right, the kick point is higher on the dg's. I meant to say it the other way around. But you just have to try these shafts. If you're afraid of letting go of the X100's just have one club changed over and see how it feels.
NaisuShotto
played a soft-stepped x in my last set of irons and they felt stiffer than a s200 if that helps.
plus1
as i stated above if u are currently in an x100 i would switch over to using an 1150 tour x hardstepped once. this will then play to the same flex as the dg but have all the positive benefits that a nippon carrys :tsg_smiley_yes: :tsg_smilie_cool: Edited September 11, 2006 by plus1
