let me tell you about my weekend so far...

Friday... skipped a class to get int 9 holes

Saturday... 18 in the morning with my college friends.

Then in the afternoon I played a par 3 course with my dad. It was his first course golfing. He has been to the range a few times with me but never played in his life. We had a blast. My dad did alright, struggled to hit the little ball first for most of the day, but had some great shots.

After that my parents had some sort of party to go to so I went to the range to try to find something that would make my driver go where I wanted it too... I didn't find it but I did get ti regripped.

Tomorrow, Sunday, I have a full day of rock climbing planned so it looks like golf it out... Monday I got some projects to finish up but if we get some good work done on them I might be able to talk the guys into a few.

Here is something troubling, or maybe it was a good thing... I think the par 3 course inflated thier yardages. According to thier markings I was carrying my 9i 140!!! which is rediculous. I mean I was hitting though it really really nice but still... I think part of the reason I was hitting so well was b/c I thought I was hitting it so far. Its an interesting thought, but if the yrds are inflated then that kind of kills the practice I thought I was getting...

Well guys I won't be posting as much as I have lately for the next month. The wrist problems are back and I am having to wear braces to keep my wrists straight and do exercises to combat carpal tunnel. I will chime in every now and then but not as much. DAMNIT! This sucks. My swing is finally coming around and the short game is back and this rears it's ugly head. Oh well s**t happens.

Thanks guys for all the well wishes. I will still come on to read but typing is hard with the braces on at night. I am hoping to sell my clubs that I have listed and I think I will be getting some z101's. Got to hit a demo of the 6 iron and damn it was sweet. The doc gave me exercises to do nightly but he did not say I could not play golf but I will do in moderation. My wrist hurts after I play so I will not be practicing much and may have to stop altogether for a month. Thanks again guys :D

Alcap, my mom suffers from carpal tunnel aslo. She found that the Sabona magnetic bracelets really help. You might want to give it a try if you haven't already. Hope this helps.

tough break..carpel tunnel is a bitch, I assume they have you in cock-up wrist braces (the rest of you guys just think about something else k?)? Do they have you taking anti-imflammatories? I only ask because in another life I was a pharmacist, well technically I still am, but that's another story..just follow the doc's orders and hang in there..I bet they let you play some..as for typing, just hold a pencil with your teeth and bang away :wink:

yes to the anti inflam. and I got the okay to play golf but he said not to overdo it. I hate the damn wrist braces...especially since I have to sleep in them but I will do as the doc ordered and wear them and do my exercises. Hopefully the golf is good tomorrow...I have to play with my best friend as a team mate and we rarely play. He is extremely slow and does not have the best game. These guys that I am playing with always want to play a two man scramble so I will be carrying him the whole day and if we lose he will make comments like damn couldn't you play better. We get along great in every other arena but golf is not one. Hopefully tomorrow will be different.

Now what is wrong with having the sugery ?? I had it 7 years ago I think or maybe 8 don't remember anymore Must be the drugs they gave me before doing it :smile1: . Left hand has never bothered me since .

Had it done during the winter though , so when golf season started was all healed up . :cool:

I do not want to have surgery. The only surgery I have had is wisdom teeth so i hope it gets better. I guess I should not have been negative about the golf tomorrow. I mean he is a great guy who I would trust with anything I own and I can count on him in any situation but he and I just play two completely different games. he does not care about score and I am always trying to improve. Thanks for the surgery story Mike...makes me a little less uneasy if I have to have it. Time will tell. Off to do exercises.

Al- Some people are like that, I shoot at least ten strokes higher when I play with my brother in law. Perfect example last summer front nine struggled to shoot a 46 he left at the turn but I kept playing 34 on the back. Nothing changed but the surroundings :tired:

As someone who has sent at least 3 children of orthopedic surgeons thru private school just having myself put back together the surgery is at best a 50/50 deal...(don't read that Al)....those are not the kind of odds I like with ortho stuff personally...and the drugs are why you can't remember when it was :whistle:

BTW ...really interesting Stanley Cup finals up to now...some of those guys are so quick it's scary

And it was winter 97/98 . That summer went on to have the best golf of my life . Shot a 65 , won the reginal golf tourney and made the national team .

So at least mine turned out okay :smile2:

I have the same problem... whenever I play with someone I strugge around bogey golf... but when I am by myself I am a single digit. I'm so good when I am alone that I stopped reporting my scores so it wouldn't hurt my handicap. And since I don't report it I stopped keeping score.

I have sent an email to find out if they are still interested. I have not shipped and will not ship until paypal reveals the payment. Should I relist this for sale or keep it marked as deal pending? This will be the second item I have sold so I am still a little new at this.

I ran into a similar situation, send him Pm's, e-mails, as much contact info as you can and give him a deadline, say 24 hours, and say no response no sell. Nobody can fault you for that plan of action. Relist if he doesn't get back in the allotted time frame. With the outbox feature you can know wheter or not the message was opened.

Bud Grant was amazing, as were some of those teams..anyone who could get to the Super Bowl with Joe Kapp as quarterback deserves to be sainted. :wink:

Since your the only person I know with ties to Augusta just wondered if that's true?

Funny you should mention Joe Kapp , my brother who is much older than I was born in Winnipeg . So he was a big Bud Grant fan . And if I am not mistaken Kapp also played there and for a few other teams up here in the CFL :smile1:
