  1. I think I read where this is going to have 400HP V8. I have a 2004 645 that "only" has 325HP and that is ridiculously overpowered (but will certainly but big smile on one's face when put to work). I can only imagine what the increase will do to the fun. I really like the lines on this series.
  2. Apparantly insanity is not limited in scope, just in the form taken to express it properly. That a $1000 plus golf bag line can sell out is a good indicator. Not as bad as believing that mortgage backed securities deserved an AAA rating because at least with the golf bag you only spent a grand plus, and you get the really loud unattractive golf bag to lug around. I had a much larger loss, and nothing to show. Maybe I need a new bag....hummm
  3. Keep the lofts more modern. Just because I'm selfish and don't want to have to relearn distances. That and a 50* PW would mean my 52-53* wedges would need some adjustment. I'm not much of a digger swing type ("think dollar bills") so a sole to match is good. Not a big fan of flashy, understated but classy. (how's that for broad description?) I keep thinking I'm getting to old to play blades, but then I see something like this and that excuse evaporates.
  4. So I bought this set up from bogeydog, 10.5* with the Motore Speeder and have had a chance to play a couple of rounds. The clubhead is much as has been noted previously, very hot all over. I've been able to get solid results from a variety of mis**ts. High on the face and the ball flies higher, but no balloon, just higher. On the toe, a shot I always try and rescue by getting really flippy with my hands doesn't lose distance but does tend to get hooky. The shaft is marvelous. Solid, nice nice kick to it, and as stable as they come. It reminds me of the Tour Platform series, with the stability improved. The only thing I can find to fault with this set up is that it won't keep me from putting a bad swing on the ball. If I swing poorly the results reflect that. Fortunately the more I play the better I swing. Oh and yes I did gain distance, depending on the ball I play I'm a few yards farther than with my old set up. I don't find the head at all distracting, in fact even the giant half moon scoop isn't an issue. When I set up to the ball, all I really see is the ball and the clubface. Very attractive. I'll do a formal review shortly. [attachm ent=14549:IMG_0303.JPG]
  5. That putter is breathtakingly beautiful! Can a putter ooze quality? Very very nice
  6. Thanks for the review. I'm anxious to see how you like this set up with the Speeder. I have been intrigued by this driver since the original post, and the knowledge that it is easy to hit just reaffirms that this is a club I should try.
  7. I don't move my hands around at all. Keep it simple is the philosophy I was taught. If I move my hands my swing would have to change in order to hit the ball. Now my brain...that's a different story because it moves at different speeds with each shot. Troublesome, but hey I don't pay it any mind.
  8. That is something I really like, I could date this club with no second thoughts ever. It appears it hits my kind of tee ball as well.
  9. I keep looking at that third picture and trying to visualize why you can see so much of the cavity towards the toe. It almost appears twisted into an S shape sort of kind of, I'm fascinated to learn more about the playing features.
  10. I like the look of that driver a lot. hmmm, I'm needing a replacement/upgrade.
  11. Sells for $399.99. I like the idea of one with the Motore Speeder. That's a shaft which appears to fit me quite well. All that adjustable might be just enough to send a slightly neurotic individual completely over the edge. The problem would never be my swing, it would be the way the club is set up. I might never make it off the range some days. Next thing I'd be asking for an adjustable tee time to compensate for all the preparation time.
  12. I agree those are very attractive. I'm needing to stock up on wedges because they sometimes treat me funny and need to be left in the closet to ruminate on their behavior. That's the theory anyway.
  13. I'm not sure if I could get used to the silver edging at the face/crown juncture. Other than that it sure is pretty
  14. Those are quite impressive looking. I've been considering changing FW this year and this might just be the club to allow me to pull the trigger on a purchase. Nice, very very nice.
  15. I really like the shape of that, it doesn't look like something out of Arthur Clarke's imagination. Smaller always appears better to my eye, just because it does if that makes sense. I enjoy some of the designs on the sole of the club because they do look like something from Mr. Clarke's imagination. Those don't bother me because I can't see them when I'm looking at the club at address. This may be the year I try a Tourstage driver with this more user friendly design.
  16. I really like the appearance of the T1. More traditional from the top, space age from the bottom.
  17. Alan, Hope you father is doing well, as well as you can do having had your chest cracked open. Smokers are weird about quitting so I hope he quits too. Yes building a house takes over your life, and if I remember correctly will raise the stress level of life in general several degrees. I believe it's well worth it in the end. I just got a new set of Titleist ZM irons to test and write a review on for GolfWrx, after the first 4 or 5 shots I need me a set of these. It's supposed to be 26* tonight and I haven't had a chance to do more than hit the PW, 8 and 6 iron but hopefully next week I can go out and get in 18-36 holes. Enjoy guys Shoe
  18. whoa...just a tad too much information...however...I need to get me some of these irons
  19. Hey Mike, Glad to hear your doing well, no rejection is a good good thing. Hopefully that also means you don't spend a lot of time with the prednisone moon face look. A real job after 25 years? Yuck. Real jobs are those where you can lose a body part and/or go home dirtier than you came to work, I gave those up 30 years ago. Looking to get out tomorrow after a winter of record snow. How much snow you ask? enough that FEMA renting the top floor of our building this month to help with the State of Wisconsin snow emergency. Of course by now all but the biggest piles of snow have finally melted and the temperature today will be 65*. No wonder these guys have such a crappy reputation. Only got to play a few times last year, this year will be different. Have explained to the women who run my life that Monday and Tuesday belong to me. Imagine that, I actually believe that will work. Sigh. The advantage to having a cell phone is that it has an off button. Later guys,
  20. Botox???????? lololol After reading the article about botox for putting yips I can't help but wonder what your forearms would look like after a treatment? Nice nice looking clubs. I really need a 5 wood, these should be worth waiting for.
  21. That putter is something. I keep trying to decide which direction to go with my next putter purchase, this just adds to the mix in a very positive way.
  22. I will probably never get used to the shape of these new fangled clubs. It is a pretty reddish color though.
  23. If these are as good as the gauge design I will have to get one. I have a great deal of love for the 9 wood, still one of the most reliable clubs in the bag.
