  1. Nice pictures Pete thanks for sharing those. Good choice to work on the short game, after Monday I've come to the same conclusion. Wedges and putting will be the focal point this year.
  2. Alcap, that's pretty good for a 7th grader...fun to watch kids play that well. Remember it's better to be off your schedule than off your feed. Played my first round of the year today...not pretty but by the 13th I'd figured out how to hit the ball again. G Field has a winner in the driver and the FW, really solid clubs when you put a good swing on them. Rolled a lot of nice putts, especially considering the greens had just been aerated and sanded. On another note entirely, the Sunday after Easter am going to the Milwaukee Public Museum to see the display of Vatican art. Last stop(and only midwest location) on tour of USA before returning to Rome. Enjoy the day all
  3. Thanks for sharing about your daughter. Must be an athlete to pick up the basics quickly. Here's hoping the weather changes for the better soon.
  4. I just have to add that this is the BARGAIN of the year right here! You would be hard pressed to find a better 3 wood imho.
  5. Now that's one of those obscure tidbits of information that befuddle my head. As the song says "its the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine" :tsg_smilie_cool: :tsg_smilie_wink: Nicely done!

Nice website! Those TW901 irons are really attractive. I've seen couple of old woods in Nevada Bob's in Madison and was talking to the sales guy about where he got them. Apparently one of their regular's plays a lot of Japanese stuff so every now and then they take a trade from him. At only $2500 for a set of irons how can anyone resist? :tsg_smilie_wink: What do the different grades mean? I couldn't find an explaination which means once again I can't seem to locate things well or it really isn't there.
  7. Nice pickups Bump...heard lots of good things about the XST. I just love new toys...now if I can get out and play on Tuesday all will be right with the world(or my world anyway)
  8. Ari that putter is amazing! I don't think I seen a chunk of copper that nicely shaped. Anxious to see the finished product. As for my own personal model I'm still working on that; basic shape much like a TriHot 1/Tubu/Callaway Tour Blue 3; 350-360gm head; no insert; milling marks like the Gauge putters have; and I'm wondering what a couple of sound slots would do, or a long slit like the floating face thing; 2 sightlines because I need serious help with alignment; still working on the rest of the design but that's the beginnings.
  9. I hit my 11.5* with the Axiv 6564 for the first time on Monday. 47* and 15mph crosswind combined with the first swings of the year so I wasn't expecting much. This thing feels amazing...A MA ZING..is what I'm talking about. Very very very solid, no tinny TINK and the dispersion was to die for(nothing left!)...hit only about 30 balls with it and only 2 would have been trouble(one of which was really really long and just a tad pulled.) I am still in shock in that regards because my swing was not anywhere near form. Cant wait until I get it out in a little bit warmer weather but I think this is a gamer!
  10. actually it was a good year..big bonus this year that has no child support coming out :tsg_smiley_yes: ..so I get to spend a little ( hah just slightly more than a little) to upgrade my sticks. I learned long ago when trying to buy a car with cash that banks have no money so it's pointless to rob them. they needed a 30 day lead time to get together $28K in cash. what a hoot..and then they wanted to know if $50 bills would be ok. I'm telling you if your gonna rob anybody hit a grocery store about 11pm on a Friday night. Not that I've thought about it at all :tsg_smilie_whistle: :tsg_smilie_rolleyes: Sorry you won't get to play Mike..hang in buddy, I keep putting good words in for you with my good friend the pope and his boss.
  11. Christmas is right!!!!! :tsg_smilie_cool: :tsg_smilie_money3: :tsg_smilie_money3: :tsg_smilie_money3: . I just love getting new stuff! Of course if the snow doesn't stop soon and the temp get above 38* I may just never get to use them. The Driver has a very special appearance, very traditional in a larger way and gives the impression that you couldn't miss even if you were drunk as a sailor on shore leave.
  12. Oh boy got new toys..now the weather just needs to cooperate so I can use them. Picked up a couple of items from TSG, namely the V1 TSG wedges made from Scratch which are just beautiful to look at and begging to be dirtied! Also a center shafted red Tubu putter that I have only got to hit a dozen putts of about 8ft on the carpet with. I really love the appearance and the ease of alignment is exceptional ( easy that's what I'm all about). And lastly a GField Driver, 425cc 11.5* with an Axiv 6564 shaft that is almost (emphasis on almost) too stunning to hit! I need global warming to hit southern Wisconsin like tonight so I can get out and try these babies out! I've also learned a lot about the new Stulz nano shaft and am going to stick one in my FUT 3 come Monday. This shaft is amazing in that it has a triangular section about 5-6 inches from the tip and they put the graphics on so the shaft is already spined(although the actual spine in this is almost non-existant in the 2 I helped test) and floed. Will share more when I get to actually play some freaking golf instead of just sitting around holding my tools in my hands....um well cough cough ...gotta go
  13. Hmmm..I can hit the 33's ...I play blades...I love the appearance of these clubs...will await the remaining test with a great deal of anticipation. I really appreciate the effort and time you're putting into this comparison. :tsg_smilie_cool:
  14. I makes me want to root for the PRGR's to lose so I can buy them! I love the look of that iron. But then it would be even nicer to know they tested out as Best of the Best as it were. Such a dilemma...how shall I sleep but on pins and needles awaiting the outcome of this contest.... :tsg_smilie_cool: :tsg_smilie_sad: Of course the wind chill here today was only 28* so I can't play unless I desire to snap body parts off due to the cold.
  15. I think this is the first day of spring so why oh why is the sky spitting snow? *sigh* *shake head* at least I have packages waiting for me at work tomorrow! gives a whole new meaning to looking forward to going to work. Wish I was in Florida....
  16. Have 2. :tsg_smiley_yes: ...the getting hit with a ball I could do without..kinda reminded me of the Golf Pride commercial where the cart girls dad is banging balls off his playing partner all day
  17. thanks for the assistance...the leica lens seals the deal ...actually my cell phone takes almost as good a picture as my old camera
  18. What's improved about the Aluinser? other than the obvious use of color? which by the way is quite attractive. I really like the looks of Leap and Leap M by the by.

Just curious if anyone has ever played one of the wood putters they make? I've thought about getting one of these for several years just because I think they are very very attractive but for whatever reason have never followed thru. Any and all information, experience would be appreciated.
  20. Hey guys, I thought I'd ask opinions on Digital Cameras as there are only hundreds of models available. I'm looking at upgrading my 4 year old camera as it is almost as outmoded as I am. Not looking to spend big bucks (under $500 as I am a techno-tard and only take pics of my clubs and my kids) but would be interested in your experiences. Thanks in advance
  21. How attractive is that putter? Enough that I would consider using an anser style again! :tsg_smilie_cool:
  22. I'm just sitting here waiting patiently...but those pictures are making me rather excitable..and to think we have 4-8 inches of snow on the way tonight. March in Wisconsin..land of psychotic weather
  23. WOW..those are gorgeous! The Las Vegas show girls of wedges!
  24. Andy I'm picking up a G Field GTW driver with a foamed head and an Axiv shaft so I can hit the ball 462 yds on average. Gonna play like a big boy this year, no more of those piddling 192 yd drives for me no sir ree bob! Frank Thomas can take his average golfer drive stats and burn them cuz they not be applyin' to me no more. I be livin' larger than the enzite guy ever dreamed of livin' wooo hooo! They be callin' me "Smackie" on the links this year by crackie! It's supposed to be 62* today and I'm getting anxious to play and anxious to get my new stuff. Also have a set of TSG V1 wedges and a center shafted red Tubu putter coming so I should be able to capitlize on my new found length off the tee by hitting the ball right next to the hole and making every putt. Barry Bonds has promised to send me his work out routine too complete with supplements!
  25. Disturbing is much to mild a term...is this the result of too many B-12 shots injected by Miguel Tijeda?
