chainsaw
I was in Dallas over the weekend and it was miserable. Makes me wonder how I ever tolerated the humidity. It's supposed to cool off tomorrow in that part of the world but there's a chance of thunderstorms both days I had planned to play. I'm sure I can find other ways to amuse myself if the 30% chance of rain comes to fruition. Straight? That's no fun whatsoever! Maybe I'll give that a whirl. The Accra I have has Maiyama(?) on it so he must have some connection to UST. I'm pretty impressed with it for what's supposed to be a lower priced model. The trajectory on it when I connect is exactly what I want it to be.

I just volunteered to go to Scout camp this year. That means a week of sleeping in a tent. The stuff I do for my kids. :surprize: As it relates to drivers I am still loving the R7 TP. You should really give an R7 a try they are coming down in price. As to play - my round got cancelled for today  Rain is on the way - what else is new - Memeorial Day weekend is around the corner - god forbid if it is not cold and rainy. :wah:

shoe295
Andy..sleeping on the ground????? :surprize: :wah: ...sorry man..my idea of roughing it is Motel 6!!!!! I love my kids..but no more sleeping on the ground for me... Played Tuesday...forgot my cardinal rule of walking golf..take something to eat...lost all control of my swing beginning on 14 and struggled in from there...sucked as I was playing well to that point...3 over on the day...finished at 8 over..gotta love those 37-42 rounds.. ..it's early yet...am switching balls from the U-Tri-Tour to the new Black Max...very nice ball with good durability.. Will be working Monday as they are paying me double time and a half, which qualifies as real money in my book! ..Hope everyone has a safe enjoyable holiday..even the Canadian.. Was looking at Accra shafts...the fitting system recommended the Tour 5080 stiff...hmmmm...gotta think some more..which always results in greater confusion..
italianstallion
What is there to do in Arizona? Looks like thats our vacation this year. I asked what we'll do for 7 days, and I got no response. It looks like one big desert. It looks like we're flying into Las Vegas, so I told my family to leave me there.
Alcap26
To the members of the gang of gutter: I apologize for my negligence these past few weeks. I have not been holding up my end of the posting so I will try to get better in the next week before I go on some trips. I will be heading out next Sat to Kansas to see a college buddy then back here on the following wednesday and then a day or two rest then off to Florida for 10-14 days. We haven't made our mind up on how long yet. The game is still pretty good albeit one bad round last Sunday. Kiypl: who was the guy you got your cell phone from...was it dakota something? Mine is acting up pretty bad and I will more than likely be needing a new one. How is the Razr treating you? That's all for now but next week I will have a review to post  :mizuno: after Andrew gets to give the a test run. Has anybody heard from Pete? chainsaw
I got the phone from Greg at Dakota Communications. I think his screen name is Dakotacom. I still love my phone, it is awesome. I highly recommend working something out with Greg, he was super to work with. Just got back in town from Odessa, TX and Albuquerque. Played Paa-Ko and Twin Warriors in NM. Paa-Ko is awesome but the greens are so tricked up it's ridiculous. In addition, the starter tells you from the get go to expect a 5 hour round and this was on a Friday, I hear weekend rounds push 6 hours easy. I thought I was back in Vegas at one of the resort courses for a minute. Twin Warriors is a nice course as well. I think Paa-Ko is rated number one and Twin number three in the state. Twin takes driver out of the hands of long hitters as a number of holes end at the 275-300 yard range. I'm not even going to go into how poorly I played but let's just say a number of lessons is in my immediate future. I'm not playing again until I see my local PGA professional. I have zero confidence in any aspect of my game at the moment. Have a great Memorial Day and a big thank you goes out to those of you who've served our country in the armed forces. Alcap26
Well guys I got back into East TN tongiht about 11:30 and will get about a 14 hour turn around time before I leave for Florida. When I get to Kansas City on Wednesday the bad weather was 30 minutes away and just got out of the airport and to the hotel before the Tornado sirens went off and had to go to the basement. Sunday got in a round in Kansas City at Tiffany Greens and it was pretty good then off to Manhattan. 3 rounds at Colbert Hills...from the tips the course is rated 77.5 with a slope of 152...we played the middle tees which was 6503 yaqrds rating 73.0, 132 slope. On tuesday I had a nice stretch on three par fours...birdie...hole out from 100 yards for eagle...followed by driving the green on 316 yard hole and two putted for birdie. The golf was great and theat course is hard. Built up on some hills and you do not escape the wind. I love it. Andy did a fantastic job on the mp32 but I am still deciding on if they are staying over the Cobras...will know when I get in from Florida. Sorry if I got the Andy disease tonight...having a bookers and coke to wind down and the typing may be a little off. Have a great day guys. AKFLY
I hope evreyone is enjoying themselves. Myself - I am happy to say that with the exception of going back to my Guage U.S. putter - I have not changed any club in my bag since May 1, 2005. It sems like an eternity- but I really feel set. Played at Point O' Woods( home of the Western Am.) on Saturday and shot a crappy 88 with a 10 on a par 4. This is the second time in two rounds where I had a hole were I pumped two out of bounds off the tee on the same hole. Reflecting back I know figured it out that the next time it happens - to fully step back reposition and let go. Surprisingly enough I came back on the back and shot a 40 with no birdies. For a hack like me that is a great 9. Putter - I regripped my Guage Code M mallet - made the grip just slighly strong - and I mean just a hair. Well this putter came alive in my last two rounds - finally. Just need to continue practicing and playing.
chainsaw
I'm temporarily retired from the game. I hit a rut and instead of struggling thorough six hours of misery every weekend I've decide to lay off until I have a desire to get back out. I've decided that I don't have the inner fire to practice my butt off right now. I'd rather save the $100 bucks a week and spend it on other things, like peeler joints and pro's. I haven't touched a club in a couple of weeks and surprisingly haven't even thought about it. Maybe it's just the change in weather to 100 plus. chainsaw
Nah, no camping for me until July and then I'm going to have a very redneck Ohio fourth of july jubilee. Like 20 people are camping out by a huge stock tank, shooting guns, blowing stuff up and consuming mass quantities of Bud Heavy. Should be a good time. I done with golf for at least three more weeks. I gave myself a little vacation.
