+TourSpecGolfer
I found the PT6 S too soft. How is the PT7 in X flex? you found a stiff or the X PT-6 too soft? it may be the way it was tipped. PT7 and PT6 for the most part seem to play true or a tad stiffer than stated flex IMO. I use PT-7 stiff in my 4 wood and PT-6 R flex Tip 9 spec in my ZR-600 solid fairway wood shaft if you want a low piercing flight.
Blader-X
I have the PT-8 in x-stiff in a 4 wood as well. I'll second Chris that it is a solid shaft. It "feels" to me however that its a little loose, a little too much play; but, I'm hitting great shots with it. Its a different type of feel than my Exotics 3-wood with a Diamana Blue Board s83 in x-stiff. I also happen to really like that club as well. Low piercing trajectory with it. In comparison to that set-up the PT-8's trajectory is slightly higher but it gets up well, then flattens out as it flies downrange. It seems to just stay in the air at a constant heigth. The kickpoint on the PT-8 is mid while the Diamana has a mid-high kickpoint. Even though; as its been stated on this site many times, that difference is only inches, I do believe it makes a difference to how a shaft "feels" to an in individual. I've actually been hitting both clubs daily into my net to compare the feel of both. Very different from each other but I have to say I like them both quite a lot. I've used the PT-8 the last few rounds and have been very impressed with the quality of the golf shots. Right now, I'm swinging better than I ever have. I'm really tuned into my swing and things are just clicking right now so I can attest with a fair amount of accuracy what these clubs are like. I'm definitely going to get the new Tourstage 3-wood when it comes out but I'm just not sure what shaft to go with. There's at least 3 or 4 that I'm thinking of and all are solid shafts. +TourSpecGolfer
Here are some import suggestions for FW shafts. PT-7/8 ( nice tight and consistent flight ) Diamana Red ( ball gets up nice and easy in a FW ) Tour AD W70 ( super easy to get into the air with a semi heavy weight ) Tour AD M65 ( low bullets and a good shaft to smooth out an aggressive swing ) Axiv V-Spec 8072 ( gets up and stays flat, floats over earth forever ) I usually suggest 70-95 gram shafts in fairways and 70-95 gram shafts in Utility woods. Im still a fan of 60 grams in the driver as its has a nice balance of distance and control.

xxio
Chris, I found the PT 6 stiff (untipped too soft). There is a PT7 X new sitting in the proshop of my club for $200. I actually don't have a head to put it in, but that can be solved. Thank you for the reviews guys.
