Thanks Gocchin,

I guess you heard the cry for more info on the QT shaft. :tsg_smilie_cool:

Inpakuto blog posts a brief preview of the latest and greatest from Graphite Design Japan, the Quattro Tech:

Inpakuto Preview: Quattro Tech - Another winner for Graphite Design?

:atsg_smilie_tm: Thanks Mr. Gocchin

As per the description, Quattro Tech seems to have the characteristics of low-kick, stiff butt, and soft tip.

If the story goes, then I think it will be the side of soft feeling shaft category. Is it correct?

Actually, I'm hesitate where to go stiff or X-Stiff.

For your reference, I have 105mph SS and quick transition tempo.

Your recommendation will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Gocchin, you rock man :tsg_smilie_cool:

Based on your swing speed I'd say you're probably a stiff, but it's a lot harder to recommend the quattro tech based on your feel. Your swing speed is close to TourSpecGolfer's (Chris) and I'm pretty sure he uses a stiff in most shafts and has even had success with R flex shafts.

My belief is that you're better off going a little too soft than too stiff. This is of course just my opinion as in the past, if I got a shaft too stiff for me, I'd be screwed (shots short and to the right), but if a shaft was more flexible than expected, it would be more of a timing adjustment for me.

You seem to have had success with other Tour AD shafts in stiff. At this point in time, with the QT being so new there's not a lot of feedback on how it plays, just guessing based on specs...

Thanks Gocchin,

Your word seems to be correct. In retrospect trying one point more flexible shaft, it gave me benefit except i swung for longist event. The main reason i hesitate to choose stiff shaft is the cruel hook bias hitting happening nowadays frequently. Even though it seems to happen resulting from my wrong swing.....

Anyway your comments are good assisatnce of my taking the beauty without any trial and error.

Merry Christmas.

Maybe you should consider the "P" version of the new X-Drive clubs. If you are hitting hooks, the pear shaped X-Drives are built with fade bias.

That would be one of solution! Then 430P with Quattro Tech stiff flex will be the best choice!

Would you mind me raising one more question?

Seeing closely the face of 460P, I think the score line is different from those of others. Does it mean for reducing spin rate? However, when we look back old models, generally high COR models have not score line

It's just my curiosity.

Once again thanks.
