I'll be grabbing the regular 460 as a fade bias is not for me, nor is my swing X flex. :tsg_smiley_embarrassed: But theres something for everyone this time around... :tsg_smilie_cool:
+TourSpecGolfer
There are many places that have these now in Japan but they have laser etched on them sample in Japanese somewhere on the head. Tourstage issued a warning on this as some stores are selling their samples.
Blader-X
Great work Gocchin. You wouldn't by chance have any pics of the new X-Drive 3 wood, 13.5 degree?
gocchin
No Fairway pics yet, at least up close ones... will post if I come across any.

gocchin
Great work Gocchin. You wouldn't by chance have any pics of the new X-Drive 3 wood, 13.5 degree? Here are some bag pics for now... one of my fav players Kondo has one as does both the Miyazato brothers..
FairwayFred
that 460P is just calling to me....... Anyone have any more info? Whats the deal with the shaft? Specs? Is it a normal Japaneese X which is closer to a normal S or is it a Tour Player X flex?
Goshinboku
B03-07: 70g torque 3.4 i have no clue as to the playability, i know the 460P is coming one way, 9.5* loft and that shaft in X flex only, 1000 pieces that is it! Blader-X
Here are some bag pics for now... one of my fav players Kondo has one as does both the Miyazato brothers.. Thanks so much Gocchin!! :tsg_smilie_cool: You really have added wonderful insight to the boards!! I must say, the Miyazato brothers and Kondo-san won't be the only ones with those 13.5's!! Now all I have to do is decide between the Axiv-V 8080 or the Diamana White board. Decisons . . . decisions Of course, then there is the new Quattro shaft. :tsg_smilie_rolleyes:

FairwayFred
Any good pics of the 430P or 460P at address? So do you guys think that the 460P head is actually more fade bias than the 430P head? Or do you think the difference is the shaft that comes with it? I will likely end up replacing the shaft anyways expecially if its the 460P as that shaft is going to be too stiff I think. Trying to decide between the 430P and 460P, I want max fade bias but I typically like slightly smaller heads.
Goshinboku
Ari, I had a pic, I will see if I can find it, but bridgestone themselves listed the 460P as having the large fade bias, with the 430P second, I will see if I can find it. its a litte small, but you can get the idea: *the 430P definately looks the best at adress of any of the 5 coming out. **and the proto gd shaft in the 460P is mid-kick. two more pics of the new x-drive fairway wood: Edited November 30, 2006 by tourstage_bape
+TourSpecGolfer
Take a look here guys, the 460P is on the left the 460 on the right, notice the difference in face progression Now lets take a look at the guts of this thing compared to the model before it: due to no turbo rubber im sure it will feel different. from smallest to biggest here we go: Tons of Prototypes! Pretty Deep Weights too! The real question is will this beat my EPON?
Goshinboku
the first 6 pics i believe are all the regular 460 (notice it has the full face scoring lines) the last two are the 460P(correct me anyone if i am wrong)

I did order the 460 but would rather have had the 430P. However, I definitely don't want any fade bias. Have never owned a 460cc driver and certainly hope I can hit that thing although it's hard to imagine missing the sweet spot with that head! :tsg_smiley_yes:
+TourSpecGolfer
Where do you fit in?
gocchin
The more I look at the X-Drive the more I realize it's probably too much driver for me. I'm glad I'll be hitting the Epon for a while. Based on my swing speed a regular ViQ suits me better.
putt4doh
Where do you fit in? If I'm reading this chart correctly, 'HS' is an abbreviation for 'head speed' (just another way of saying swing speed). If this is the case, I have no idea how to convert my SS in MPH to HS in meters per second. Can anyone provide any help?
gocchin
50m/s = 112.5mph 48m/s = 108mph 46m/s = 103.5mph 44m/s = 99mph 42m/s = 94.5mph 40m/s = 90mph 38m/s = 85.5mph 36m/s = 81mph
Duffer19
My 40 m/s HS is just under 90 mph. You need to convert you mile(s) into meters first then divided by 3600 sec (1 hour) would be your metric HS. If you are into Japanese clubs and shafts, this is what you have to do (think in terms of metric.)
