leepark
I'd like to hear your experience with different shafts in the Epon 460 head...
Bowie8
I am playing a Diamana Whiteboard in X. I like the setup. Went to an Epon 460 10.5 from a J33460 in 9.5. Since the Whiteboard is low launch low spin, the combo works quite well. If I can keep myself from overswinging the ball has a great launch off the club with awesome feel. I just have to explain to the uninformed golfers I play with that the company is called EPON and not ePorn . All kidding aside, this club combo is the best I've played and I was using an Axis in my J33 for more than a year. Good Luck. Brian
neil_kman
I too would be very keen to hear TSGers thoughts on this one. I have one on its way with an Axiv-v 7068 after the fitters recommendations. My only worry is i dont launch the ball that high. Does anybody play them with a Diamana redboard
gocchin
While there's a mix of shafts on this forum paired with Epon heads, the majority are probably using Axiv V or Axiv shafts. People seem to have been very happy with this particular combo which is why you still see it in so many people's bags. I'm very happy with my Epon 460 and Axiv 6060L, it's the best driver I've ever hit. It gets the ball up for me but in no way ballooning. I need all the carry I can get and this shaft has a great kick to it paired with the awesome feel and straight flight of the Epon head. Blader-X and a few others have the Axiv Vspec and they love it. I think Chris has a quattro tech in his Epon right now...
rb2235
I tried the Code 6 and it was so-so. Now I have one with the AXIV 6064 which was much improved in terms of feel, distance and ballflight. Another member here raves about the Ozik Altus/EPON combo. I plan on trying a Fuji 660TR in one this year.

rb2235
What didn't you like about the code-6? Results were OK but didn't have the feel/kick I like. Very smooth feeling, too smooth if that makes sense. It was a very accurate combo. I really wanted it to be the one as I love the color of the shaft. I purchased it 3rd hand and it now it's on to its 4th owner in less than a month. Code 6 is a pretty popular shaft just not for me and I guess the other two guys. Blader-X
Axiv-V period. For me I have not the want nor need to hit any other shaft or driver for that matter. Its that good!! I really can't make that statement about any other club or clubs I have ever hit. I have the Axiv-V 8076.
idrive
I have the 9.5* Epon 460 w/Axiv V 7072 (S) The combination is fantastic. The consistancy and feel are unmatched. I was hitting a Tourstage 405HR for a few rounds. That's the non-conforming Driver that hits it well past the conforming head version. This driver and shaft combo has the distance right up with the 405HR. But with much, and I mean much more accuracy and consistancy.
plus1
I have tried the epon 10.5 with the axiv 6064, the axiv 7072 and the ozik tp7. out of these i give overall winnner to the v spec 7072 - it flat out rocks. it was very good distance, very very stable and straight and the feel was excellent. Although this was the only shaft that i played a cut with (which is unusual for me) It relly yielded the best results For feel i would go 6064, and distance 60.64 and the boobie prize went to tp7. - the feel of this combo was boardy distance was average but she did it fairways.
