  1. Epon 701's SOLD Thanks Hunt. Prices reduced on wedges.
  2. Here is a very nice set of Epon 701 irons 4-PW in 9.0 condition.(sold) I have also included a copper 50 degree wedge from Epon as well. $90wedge alone. Also a couple of proto Chikara Wedges in great condition with black s300 stiff. 56 degree(orange infill) and 60 degree(red infill) 1/4" over and 1 deg. up. $125 each or $225 for both shipped CNUS. ]
  3. Funny that Tom Wishon would say there is no difference between forged and cast. I have a set of his 560MC forged. They feel fine of the tee but are harsh off of tight lies. I can't stop hitting these things fat off of tight fairways. The feedback is not that good and I have had better with Taylormade cast clubs. For me the grind is as important as feel. If I can find both then I have found the perfect club.
  4. Put me on the list for one in 35" and must weigh at least 350gr.
  5. I would be very interested to learn if there are two different shafts. I would also be willing to believe that higher torque shaft would be far more stable in a high MOI head like the EMB then a more traditional head. The hardest thing for me to do is keep the tempo nice and relaxed during a tournament. Someone who swings hard, and likes to work the ball may appreciate less torque than one who likes to smooth it. Unfortunately you are correct about our obsession with "shaft testing and on course research". It can be an expensive education.
  6. Gocchin: Do the shafts that you have listed have a firm tip? I would think it would be ok for a softer tipped Mid/High kick shaft to have more torque then a Z type shaft. The US specs are for the 67 Gram X are2.9 torque. The 74gram in X is 2.5Torque(seems very close to a Speeder 757, by the way). Hey, I only hit them. Physics was not my Forte.
  7. I'm not sure the japanese specs are right. The 67 gram shaft in X is listed at almost 4.0 torque. A high kick tip stiff shaft with 4.0 torque, say hello to the next fairway over.
  8. Another reason I like the AF-701 is that the sole has some bounce and a little camber on the leading edge. This became somewhat of a problem for me with the Srixon 506. I play 4-PW and am at least a 1/2 club longer than my TP R7 with graphite. I think the confidence factor will grow as I play with these more. They have a nice response or feel to them and dont look any bigger than a cally x-20, except you get a thin topline which is nice.
  9. I am a 6 index and bought the Epon AF-701 with Nippon 1150 Stiff. These are forgiving and I am a lot more confident at my club which has some long par 3's. The best part of these clubs are the long and middle irons. I got a copper AF wedge 50 degree for chipping and shorter shots. It is a great club. I was worried about balooning shots but have not had that problem. I am even able to work the ball around trees which is supposed to be difficult to do with a game improvement club. I will be keeping these for some time.
  10. I saw that one sold on GolfWrx for 1700 with cover. The one I saw has the standard bomber Scotty cover. I'll pick it up because the price is right. Thanks.
  11. Found a sweet Cameron at a local golf shop that has a sterling silver insert. I guess Cameron was planning on building 2000 of these but due to the cost severely cut back on production. Does anyone here know much about this putter?
  12. I just ordered a set of the AF-701 with NS 1150 Stiff hardstepped because my concern was hitting these irons too high. I have a set of Taylormade R7TP with the GD tour AD 115 graphite shafts. They are solid but when they got hot during the summer I would gain 5-10 yards or more in distance. I will keep the clubs in case my Tennis elbow flairs up but am hoping the forgiveness of the AF-701's along with a smooth steel shaft like the NS 1150 will work.
  13. If it's LA then I am in. I heard Maruman is improving the Conductor for 08 which might be interesting.
  14. I know that any iron can produce flyers but not every iron has an undercut cavity that looks fairly large. I am not knocking the design. I would just like to know if these irons will produce consistent distances or should they be considered more game improvement. I guess I am hoping someone with a single didit handicap has hit these and can shed some light on the type of ball flight and response that they provide. Thanks.
  15. I am really interested in the design of these irons. I swing a 90-92mph 5 iron and am wondering if these irons are going to produce a lot of flyers. I like the forgivness and quality of construction but don't want to be wondering if my distances will be consistent. Anybody who has played these irons have any issues of flyers especially out of the rough. Thanks, Brian
  16. Sold, Thanks Chris This baby is going to Texas
  17. High launch low spin driver. 9.0 condition. Untipped Diamana Whiteboard. This is a bomber.
  18. I second the Maruman Conductor. No forged club that I have played digs less.
  19. I am playing a Diamana Whiteboard in X. I like the setup. Went to an Epon 460 10.5 from a J33460 in 9.5. Since the Whiteboard is low launch low spin, the combo works quite well. If I can keep myself from overswinging the ball has a great launch off the club with awesome feel. I just have to explain to the uninformed golfers I play with that the company is called EPON and not ePorn . All kidding aside, this club combo is the best I've played and I was using an Axis in my J33 for more than a year. Good Luck. Brian
  20. Can't wait to receive mine. Hopefully the search for the ultimate 3 wood will end with the X-ST.
  21. I'll take a 9.5 head only. Please PM when available.
