Posted January 28, 200718 yr comment_128650 Gold's Factory clubs are are the pinnacle of quality and high end clubs in Japan. Gold's Factory founder, master grinder and clubmaker M. Sasaya, hand makes and grinds all of his clubs from the finest forged steel from Himeji. Sasaya-san is famous for lending a hand in tuning some of the finest JDM clubs around including Moz Ishihara and Gauge Design Japan. TourSpecGolf is proud to add Sasaya-san's most recent offerings to the Pro Shop here: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/catalog/ Including two anser putters with full customization and 5 stages of Gold's wedges. Also added are Gold's Cavity Back Irons and Flat Back Irons (blades). Gold's factory has set a new level for handmade quality and customizations. Every club is hand made and custom spec by Sasaya-san from the best forged steel in Japan. All clubs are limited in their production and because they are handmade, Sasaya-san only produces a total of FIVE sets of irons a month to ensure quality. Every club is custom made to your specs and your game. Here are some example's of his work:
January 28, 200718 yr comment_128652 I have seen Golds' wedges in Hong Kong and they are unbelievable. Why do you and Chris keep tempting us with these sort of Pictures? I keep telling myself that it is the Indian and not the arrow but I also know that I would lose this battle again. Those cavity irons are so beautiful.
January 28, 200718 yr comment_128653 placing my order now - irons wedges and putter. Its meant to be a lengthy wait - but these i am prepared to wait!!!!

I have not had the pleasure (YET) of hitting Sasaya-san's clubs, however let me tell you this, in Japan the Gold's Factory name is indeed gold and one of the most well respected high end brands bar none. Sasaya-san's reputation preceeds him which is why even brands that are considered the top in workmanship and quality like Gauge Japan and Moz still seek Sasaya-sans skill's and expertise. He is considered a master of the highest level and his work pure art. Looks aside, his stuff flat out performs, he grinds the stuff the way you want it and builds the putters right to your game. The CB's look amazing... he recently made a matte black set too: 2. The idea of a blinker is an interesting one. Both as an alignment tool and for added weight and feel. (42g with tungsten weights would put the head at 400g!!) I'm considering getting a private stock #1 with a blinker. 3. Truth is Gold's is probably not for everyone. You pay for what you get. Quality comes at a cost and some people are willing to pay for it, especially when everything is hand made and countless hours are put into a club. The fact that Gold's has done so well in Japan with enthusiasts and pros alike speaks value for what his work is worth. (^_^)

January 29, 200718 yr comment_128662 It's about time that Gold's is being recognised by TSG. I have owned private stock #2 tour & 2 wedges 52* & 58*. The crastmanship is unreal, like other TSGers, I have owned The One, Balde, M2AL, numreous GAS wedges but they just can't compare to Gold"s, private stock tour is the exact putter currently used by several JPGA pros, the feel is very soft & direct, roll is top notch & impact is extremely stable. One can't ask for a better putter... until the next Gold's Factory. The wedge feels soft but not the Mizuno soft, very well balanced & have loads of spin. Downside of Gold's products are they are all expensive, you have to wait for a long time & one really needs to look after them. For private stock tour putter, you need to clean & oil it thoroughly otherwise it will rust, & it is so beautiful that you don't want to use it often. My next target will be a set of combo, 3 to 6 cavity back & 7 to P flat back with gold emblem, they are costly & have to wait for Sasaya san to do it slowly.

Wow master, thanks for the great feedback, you're one of few that have had the chance to play their putter and wedges. We're working hard with Sasaya-san to spread the word on Gold's. You're right that they are not cheap, hopefully people can see the quality and value in their handmade products. Thanks!
January 29, 200718 yr comment_128664 You are most welcome Gocchin, gold's products are Works of Art & you have to see it & play it to appreciate it. Every product is hand grind by Sasaya-san. I used to own Miura irons but feel that since they expand, they have lost that magic feel & their second hand value is way down in Japan. With Gold's, because of the product range & quantity is so limited, even in Japan you have to really look for it. I visit Japan average 6 times a year & have never found a second hand Gold's product in all the second hand shops, they are so rare.

After researching Gold's I immediately checked all my sources in Japan for second hand putters and I couldn't find any!! It's like you said, every club that's made there is hand made and hand ground by Sasaya-san... that alone makes it unique and worth the price.
January 29, 200718 yr comment_128668 Very beautiful craftsmanship. I especially like to look of the one putter image, the one with 01/01 stamped on the hosel and it appears to be some sort of a platinum finish. Best looking putter of the bunch IMO. I noticed this same finish is on some of the other wedges. What is this particular finish? Its simply awesome.
January 29, 200718 yr comment_128670 Blader -X I couldnt agree with you more concerning that 01/01 putter its amazing. I think I must add a GF putter to the collection soon.
January 29, 200718 yr comment_128671 Wow, all of a sudden there's Gold's fever! I still have a set of the original muscle backs and they are up for sale. I'll soon post the info in bst. Also have a beat up set of the copper/chrome wedge heads which i'll post as well

January 29, 200718 yr comment_128681 I guess the translation from Japanese to Englis is Gold's Factory=Circle T.
January 29, 200718 yr Author comment_128686 I guess the translation from Japanese to Englis is Gold's Factory=Circle T. Perhaps... except Sasaya-san actually handmakes EVERY club himself, including wedges and irons....
January 29, 200718 yr comment_128697 Guys i must stress these clubs take a while to ship after an order is placed. Here are some questions people are asking me: Q: What is the difference between Golds Factory and Gauge Design Japan ? A: Sasaya worked for GDJ and is the person who designed these models GA00A, GA01A, by Tour Service Div. GF Q: Can I get a Tour Issue 01/01 custom shape etc.. A: Sure expect to wait 3-4 months and pay upward of 3-5k Q: If no two items are the same because its handmade can i request a thicker topline on a putter A: No, the putters are all CNC milled from 1 piece, he can hand grind it before the finish but not increase. Wedges, Irons, and putter options are all hand done Q: How much to have the Tour Stamp on the sole? A: 66.00 extra Q: How much to create my own custom insert A: 450.00 ( every material available ) Milling designs can be created. Q: How come only 2 models of putters A: He will have more or less at times. These are affordable and the other one off or custom built models cost a fortune Q: Is the quality better than Gauge Japan or Scotty Cameron A: YES! By far the quality of work is the best of any putter company in the world. If you think another brand is made better let me know.
January 29, 200718 yr comment_128703 We continue to be spoilt by an embarsment of riches through the site. Those Gold wedges look exceptional..... but then I'm always up for a new wedge. (played Royal Canberra yesterday and the wedge play was average to good. Absolutely delighted.) There are endless possibilities for testing and shoot outs. When Jack was younger it was too many girls, too little time. Now it is too many quality clubs, too little time.
February 2, 200718 yr comment_128906 So far I'm happy with the putter & wedges I bought. Yes, the putter will rust if you don't look after it properly. The quality of the finished product is just top notch.
September 9, 200717 yr comment_140930 How much can I swing a set of those cavity backs for??? (triple black)??? and those putters are toooo sick!!! Edited September 9, 200717 yr by talleybahn
