Breal
As far as I know there has been I thought the same as you did, but my friend that played this week on the Golden state tour when I was questioning it said they can use them and he said wow it helped and he won pretty cool suff I know you cant use them on the PGA but On most of the Mini tours you can I will try to find out more. This is a personal caddie or it puts the 10% back in your pocket sorry caddies now a caddie and the rangefinder let the good times roll. acrazygolfer
The GSTour must be an independently ran tour with no affiliation with the USGA. I recently "hacked" in a local tournament ran by the SCGA (So. Cal. Golf Association) and we were allowed to use measuring devices for distance only. Devices with slope adjustment were banned. However, I think you can use the devices w/slope adjustment during the practice rounds and for those rounds when score is not to be posted. I'm going to email the SCGA tomorrow for answer regarding using the slope adjustment device during the practice rounds.
