veteq
Dear all Anyone try out the (Shimada) K's3001 light weigt shaft /95gfrom Japan? How would it compare to NS 950? My friend from Japan suggest me to reshaft to Ks'3001 since the shaft perform like the mix up of Rifle and DG.. Is that true? Thanks! Shimada is the first steel shaft company, very good product but poor marketing. Epon uses these shafts stock, they feel like high end dynamic golds to me. My friend from Japan suggest me to reshaft to Ks'3001 since the shaft perform like the mix up of Rifle and DG.. Is that true? Thanks! Hello, Maybe I can share with you my feeling... I have MP60 irons with shaft DG S200, R300 and NSPRO 950GH flex-SR , 3 sets... I've change the shaft from NS-PRO 950GH flex-SR to K's 3001 flex-S recently, I feel it strong than NSPRO and stable, like DG , but it weight is very thin than DG , and it can speed up the swing... my clubs swing weight is D0-D1, I'm very like the response when it impact the ball and it's style ! about Rifle , I've been try "project X 5.5"...it's too hard for me... K's 3001 ,suggest you can try it ! just for you refrence, Tks! PS:I'm very like re-shaft , my driver change Mamiya AVIX 6066 already... feel so good! tongt
I agree 100%, its like a light DG with some kick!! Agree as well but it feel softer than Dg and the distance is greater than NS.Pro I have try both K's 3001 R and S felx but I prefer S flex better . For me R flex give more kick +distance than NS Pro 950 R but on long iron difficult to control and ball flight is not as penetrating but S flex is better than NSPro 950 R but less stiff than NS pro S That is my thought

Duffer19
hi, like to know which website can i find shimada shaft specifications ? Its www.shimadagolf.com I have the K'3001 on a set Mizuno T-Zoid Pro to replace an old heavy DGR300. The 3001, as some said, its a Japanese version of light Rifle with good height, kick and feel. Their newest offering the K'7001 is also of constant weight. Their heavier K' classes, I think, are marketed by SYB.
