What do think is the best ball out there is for a very fast swinger that is looking to get even more distance? A 2 piece or a 3 piece? Low spin? I have no idea at this point but would love to know. Thanks.

I bought some Titleist Pro V1x's, Bridgestone B330tours, Callaway HX tours and Nike One Platinum. I mean i like all of them, and to be honest, i'm not sure i'm a good enough golfer to distinguish between them. I know i really like the Bridgestone.........i think i might get a little more distance with them. Titleist seems softest, but with the least distance. That's about all i've noticed thus far. I'm looking for something that'll spin less since i get plenty of spin with my irons (i balloon the ball a lot) and lower more penetrating trajectory, more distance. Thanks!

what ball are you playing now??

By the way, how are you liking those Gold's Factory wedges. I LOVE the looks of them. My favorite looking wedge. Just not sure about the price yet. But whatever........it's only money right! Give me some comparisons with other wedges please. I'm looking for new wedges.

I play the B330 after having played the ProV1 and many of its versions. I love that ball and believe it gives me the most distance while still giving me great feel and touch.

Having said that, though, a few others who have hit the Srixon Z-URC say that is the best ball. In fact this topic was on this site just a few weeks ago. Chris says the Z-URC is a more technologically advanced ball over the B330. I haven't tried this ball yet it has piqued my interest.

Nice one Blader X i think we are all on the hype train there just dos'nt appear to be any stations to get off!

For me B330/ B330s for all round performance hands down. I tried a some Titliest Gran Z's recently insanely long off the tee no control around the greens. For you i would recommend the granZ its a low spin ball if you coupled that with a J33r Driver you would bomb it ,and with your swing speed you could probably flop it from about 140yrds that would stop it!LOL

I think in general all the balls out there in the marketplace today are great. Titleist ProV x-outs are affordable if you are constantly cycling through balls. I shot a 68 with the Titleist ProV1 x-out : ) the other week. I do notice a loss of distance with the Lady Precept -- and it feels like a marshmallow on impact. For the fast swinger, ProV1x.

Yes there are so many great ones out there, just a matter of which one suits you.

I put the Srixon Z-UR in play the other day up against the Bridgestone B330. Overall length the Z-UR was longer off the driver by about 5 yards but coming into the greens the B330 stopped much better. Around the greens and putting is where the B330 was clearly better than the Z-UR. Much more feel. Again these are results from my game but take them what you will.

I'm going to give the Srixon Z-URC a try next. I'm still very happy with the B330 so not sure if anything can replace it. As far as what the manufacturers say about their balls, the Z-URC is probably the closest in terms of performance factors to the B330. I believe the Z-UR is more for just flat out distance. Hey Mjr. D, this might be one for you to try (Z-UR) since it spins much less than the B330.

Just a thought......but how far do you need to hit it???

By your swing speed i am guessing you already hit it a long way, would a ball that offered you more control be a better choice???......unless of course your competing for long driving champion!!!!....lol.

Just out of curiosity how far do you drive on average???

I want to use them for par 4's. But i usually use Bridgestone 330's. I went golfing today, only fun i had was with the driver since i can't hit my irons anymore (see "bizarre mental glitch" post). I hit a Titleist DT Solo 365 today. Hit a BS 330 about 340 a couple times, and i found a ball that said titanium.....tee'd that sucker up......par 4, 387yrds. Hit that one 7 yrds from the green (walked it off). All in all though, it was one of the most frustrating rounds of golf i've ever played. I may take a long time off since my iron mental glitch thing is taking years off my life. I'm not enjoying the game. Impossible to. Maybe i should just try long drive. Ha.
