Tourstage X-Blade CB2

I've recently purchased a set of the above and was looking for feedback from fellow members as to their thoughts on the clubs.

Previously I was hitting TS-202 with NS Pro 950 regular. My new clubs have NS Pro 950 stiff.

My handicap is presently 12 and I'm looking to get into single digits this year and hope these clubs will help me. My swing speed is +/- 90 and I carry a 5 iron 175-180 yards.

I would appreciate any and all feedback about the clubs and the club-shaft combo.

Do the XB-CB2 carry the tungsten weights in the 3,4 and 5 like the TS-202?

How much difference is there between NS Pro 950 reg and stiff?

Thank-you very much in anticipation of your help.

The longer irons do have a composite insert that will make these a little easier to get up in the air.

If you strike the ball consistantly and carry your five iron 175, the clubs should be fine for you. They are a player's cavity (not easy to hit in comparison to say the ViQ forged) but if you are a solid ball striker, and you like them, go for it.

Personally, I don't notice a big difference between the R and S flex in the 950. If they feel nice (not boardy) and you don't notice yourself losing shots to the right you should be good to go.

Yup not so easy to hit but when you do strike it good its pure!

I love the way they look from above, pretty close to a blade and thats the #1 reason why people like these irons.

I only suggest blades for 0 hcp or better players, this XCB2 is a great option to ween you off of a blade if you shouldn't be playing one.

If your 5+ handicap you may do better with a Mid size players cavity back.

The X-Blade CB2 is one of the sexiest set of irons, IMO. I hit them at the range on several occasions wanting to like them so much. At the end of the day, I have to admit that these are just too much club for me. I was using the X-Blade CB1 and actually missed my old TS-202. Now I couldn't be happier with the switch to my current Epon Type S. The X-Blade CB2 does have a nice solid feel on good impact, and I could see myself playing these with better swing. But for now, I just need a bit more forgiveness.

I know this thread is a little old but does anyone else have some input on these? I absolutely love the design of the head but not sure I can handle them after reading the above posts. So a 9-10 handi shouldn't be playing these?

How about some real pics, anyone have any?

Hi Samuee,

Welcome to the forums. The new X-Blade is geared at the scratch golfer and professional player or those really good ball strikers. As users above mentioned, they are not so easy to hit and definitely could be a little more forgiving. As for pics, there are a few real ones in the gallery here:
