Mjr. D
So what's the general consensus on shaft flex? Does a typical X flex japanese shaft play like a typical S flex american shaft? Is there a noticeable difference between an american S and a Japanese S flex shaft? I'm very curious. Thanks.
skgolf
I don't have any hard evidence, except my own experience. I live in Singapore so I'm exposed to both the Japanese and US spec. I find that generally the Japanese spec shafts do play a softer then the US spec - how much softer varies model to model. The greater difference though is that shafts for the Asian market (in general) are lighter then what is offered in the US, i.e in terms of stock shafts. +TourSpecGolfer
Stock shafts will play softer S vs S but after market is more so based on the way its installed. For example a Tour AD here vs Tour AD there or Fuji or Diamana etc.. all same CPM's
