Posted May 3, 200718 yr Has anyone out there tried the Rombax X series shafts(the gold/yellow ones)? They seem like they might make a good fairway wood shaft, higher launching and all that. Whaddyathink?
May 5, 200718 yr They have good feel and live up to their low kick high launch specs. They are beginning to make more bags of JPGA pros in both drivers and FW's. So far feedback has been good and people seem to like the Yellow .... ^^
May 5, 200718 yr TSG CS, interesting information, cheers. I am a little surprised that alot of pros would be playing a low kick, high launch shaft. Are they fairly low spin as well?
May 5, 200718 yr Sorry I should have mentioned Female pros as in JLPGA are the ones playing them though there are a few guys on the tour as well... (^_^)
May 5, 200718 yr Ahh, thank you for the extra info! I know there are a few low ball hitters on every men's tour, but I couldn't see too many guys going to a high launch shaft unless it was really low spin. Glad the shaft is working well for the girls on the JLPGA. Edited May 5, 200718 yr by K2_2
