wwd
I have a 19* X-UT hybrid (with Nippon steel shaft) that does not hit it as high as I would like it. I tried the new prolaunch HYBRID shaft in a new Mizuno hybrid and launched it a mile high. Was just wondering how much higher can I hit this club if I change shafts? Or just give up and sell the thing. P.S My driver speed is approx 106 and I hit my Fourteen cast 5 iron comfortably 185. Workin on loading the shaft more everyday! Thanks in advance! If you want a higher ball flight yet not something that balloons try the tour ad UT hybrid shafts. Many really enjoy the UT-85.
dkats
Is it the Nippon 950 steel shaft? I've found that shaft launches fairly high. I don't know if you would gain much by switching shafts. The Fuikura Banzai might be a good relatively inexpensive option to try.
+TourSpecGolfer
Im pretty sure he is talking about the steel standard NS950 when combined with this head shoots low flights. graphite would for sure not only make it easier but give you a higher ball flight. pucci
my x ut has a nspro utility shaft and it just goes up and carries a mile ( got a u3 though) - was tempted to get the U1 with the same shaft - thinking it would be a monster!
Blader-X
Chris is dead on about the UT line from Graphite Design. Have a UT-85 in G-Field #3 utility and its a great club. Ball gets up flattens out and carries. Actually have on order UT-95 being put into X-UT u1. Can't wait for that one!!
wwd
It is the standard Nippon NS-Pro. Since I am a low ball hitter, I was going to put a prolaunch shaft in it and try to get almost a ballooning type flight (almost but not quite). But will this make a bullet shooting hybrid turn into a soft / high hitting hybrid?
