Driver Recommendations (Japanese Heads Only)

PGAPro

Recommended Posts

I say Japanese heads only because I already have access to anything on the US Market at anytime, the reason I come to TSG is to get things I can't normally get and we all know that Chris is the man for that type of thing, so here is what I'm after

the Driver must at least sit square to slightly open (I generally like about 1.5 degrees open), but I can settle for square if need be

I don't want something that launches the ball too high as I like to hit a nice mid piercing ball flight that will roll out here in Texas on the firm ground

tell me what each of you would recommend and why as far as appearance, feel, performance, etc.

lets hear it guys

You should consider the Royal Collection CV Pro driver which is around 390 cc and lower launch for low handicap players. Since they are past/last year model, I know they are now available for heads only.

Tourstage X-Drive 405 or 435, deep face, low spin, not high ball flight.

Epon 415 Technity or Epon 380 or 420 Technica... ultimate feel and 1.5 open I think is doable.

ZR-600 440cc, fastest ball speed measured, deep face, piercing ball flight... a favorite of all Srixon Japan pros

Mizuno JPX E310--410CC's

Have hit quite a few drivers over the last year and none compare to the feeling/sound/performance of this one.

Going on 3 months with the Mizuno in the bag which is a personal record since finding the golf forums 3 years ago. Have sampled others but none came close.
