460 always seems a little big to my eye. Just a personal thing.

380- 420 with a good shape is just about perfect.

The Epon 380 is very, very good cosmetically in my opinion.

I am curious how it compares with Royal Collection CV Pro driver at 390cc. The one with spin control weights. Can I assume both with higher CG than 460cc models?

Chris,

dont know if i remember correctly or not, i might be incorrect, but did you state that direct from Epon themselves that this is there longest hitting head?

This is a new product from the Technity line, no??

I believe the longest hitting head was the the 380cc from the Technica line, but up unitl now the newer line, that of the Technity's only offered drivers in the 415cc and 460cc size.

I am correct in this Chris, and if so, how does one differ from the Technica? Any difference or did Epon just decide to re-release this size head into the new line up?

all things being equal...

does one head size hit the ball farther than another?

Is one longer than the rest?

Which one?

All other things being equal, a more compact head should hit the ball farther. but the chances of off-centre hits increase as the sweet spot is smaller.

I got the 380 cc head with the roddio shaft today. putting it in play tomorrow with the gamer - 460 with the Roddio.

Five variables - one head (380 vs 460); length (44 vs 45"); shaft (roddio W-6BA SR flex vs W-6WA stiff); loft (10* vs 10.5) and face angle (0.5* closed, square)

will report after the weekend my preliminary impressions

Really interested in the review. How'd she play?

Thinking about pulling the trigger on the EPON 380 or the Mizuno JPX 310

The reason I have not posted a review is that I have not played my home course with this driver......so cannot compare it with the gamer....epon 460 cc with roddio... But i played with it at bethpage black....and it worked out very well.... didn't really notice any difference in ballflights,,,carry etc...its not as long as the 460cc, sometimes shorter by 10-15 yards (shorter because of the shaft length ...44" in 380 cc vs 45" in 460 cc). this has to be confirmed by playing with it at my home course where I know my averages on each hole very well, so easily compared...

I like the shorter shaft...just easier to swing and gives more confidence... My only concern is the flex of the shaft its W-6BA SR flex while i think i need a stiff flex...(similar to my gamer)...
