Posted July 11, 200717 yr Introducing The MP-HOKKAIDO Irons. 1 of 5 sets produced designed for the softer conditions of Japan's Hokkaido region. This set of irons is optimal for the better player, it is based off of the MP-60 iron yet has a more squared toe, less offset, and the sole has a cut away that allows better players to make cleaner contact with the ball. This is a very drastic grind for Mizuno to produce, They are not willing to do this in the custom dept " I asked " which makes these a truly rare set. I will be posting better pics this week and also compare it to the current MP-60 model.
July 11, 200717 yr Is it wrong for guys to be erotically stimulated when seeing these beauties? lol i know what you mean. btw got my epon woods today and im sleeping with em tonite. jokes aside these mizuno irons take the cake. they are so simple yet exude a certain exclusivety. i guess that 1/5 does that to a set of clubs.
July 11, 200717 yr Wow!!! That is one good looking iron set. I wonder and hope that Epon can produce something similar. If that were the case, I would finally retire my T-Zoid ProII. TourspecGolfer, is an Epon iron set exactly like this somewhere down the horizon?
July 11, 200717 yr Author You guys are making me want to keep them for myself! Please dont do this! Its 2 grand shipped for anyone crazy enough to slap them against dirt. All 5 have been sold out, I was only able to purchase this 1 set. Im pretty sure you will never see pic's of another set anywhere or ever come across info or another for sale.

July 11, 200717 yr I am completely impressed with this sole design, unfortunatley I am a picker off hard turf and not a digger playing soft fairways. even said, this club has a beautiful design. Chris, I think these should be keepers if only 5 sets were made! Kent
July 11, 200717 yr Author Shall we compare guys? Notice the #7 is a different size Hokkaido on Right Hokkaido on Left
July 12, 200717 yr I wouldn't be selling them!! Chris you are truly a very generous man to put these up. I'm sure they will be sold within the hour!!
July 12, 200717 yr HI Chris, I had never seem sole like this before. How is your feeling to impact? I like feel of MP 67. Thank you
July 13, 200717 yr I like that offset, I just wish more club lines were produced this way with much less offset. Too bad they only made five sets!! Nice touch with the outline of Hokkaido on the club. Very classy, IMO. Now here's my editiorial. Come on TourStage!! You guys should be doing customizations and special lines like this!! End of my personal editorial/rant.
October 12, 200717 yr Author So idrive how do these do against the Epon 301's? If they are not matching up I would love to buy them back from ya
October 12, 200717 yr Wow, they are truly works of art. Funny I saw Hokkaido. I'll be there next month to visit the wife's family. I should show my father in-law, an avid golfer, the pics lol.
October 13, 200717 yr So idrive how do these do against the Epon 301's?If they are not matching up I would love to buy them back from ya I've played with them twice. I knew I was going to play on a very soft conditions course so I took them out to play. I didn't warm up (hit a range ball) with them. First shot was a 4 iron. Hit it really well and it carried the distance almost perfectly. GREAT feel. I was actually surprised and am very impressed with the irons. Except for a couple of slight scratches on the bottom of the PW they still look new. If I was going to use them as my gamers or a set I would play a lot I would switch out the shafts. They have the S200's stiff flex which I actually like much better than I thought I would... but for me the black golds is what I would put in them. Great set.. I almost wish they weren't so rare so I would be able to get myself to use them more. Still waiting for my custom AF301's.... would love to do a comparison when I do. Right now my J's are working quite nicely, thank you. Not for sale... although I guess I would entertain offers..
