I went for a ball fitting today and here are my stats:

(where SS= swing speed, BS=ball speed, ER=efficiency rating, LA=launch angle, BS=back spin, SS=side spin, DI=distance)

SS: 98.1 mph

BS: 138.9 mph

ER: 1.42 of 1.45 ideal

LA: 16.6 degrees

BS: 2477 rpm

SS: -50 rpm

DI: 242 yards

My question is if my carry is 242 yards, what roll should I expect and how do I calculate it? With my numbers, I should get plenty of roll.

I think that would be hard to quantify since the amount of roll is dependent not only of your swing numbers, but the firmness of the turf, the amount of slope to the hole and even the type of grass a given course your playing has. Not to mention time of year as well. I know when I play a local course near the ocean, which has kikuyu type grass, I see very little roll. They also keep that course very wet which cuts down the roll as well. Compare that to when I go to a course I frequent in the desert, I may see upwards of 50 yards of roll or more. The ground is firmer and its a newer type course. Also, the distance I hit the ball is different between the two courses because of the different types of conditions between the two courses. I would say look at your carry numbers to assess your game. Once the ball is on the ground there's too many other variables which will determine the amount of roll.
