TBone
Anyone have any experience with the Fourteen Hi-550? How does it compare with the Hi-858 or Hi-660? Thanks!
gocchin
As you know all three are driving irons. They rank in forgiveness and ease of use from the 550 > 660 > 858. the 858 and 660 are pretty popular on tour. The 550 has the lowest center of gravity and launches the highest. If I'm not mistaken is also the lightest head of the three.
idrive
I have an hi550 (3) with the graphite stock shaft. very, very easy to hit. I prefer an FW wood... but that is just me. If you like the look of an iron instead.. this is a great club. It sits at the end of my bed in case an intruder makes it past the dogs... $95 shipped. TBone
Pretty much what I thought! Any comparisons with the PRGR Zoom's or other iron-type hybrids? Looking to replace 3/4 irons with an iron-type hybrid.....any other recommendations?

Have your dogs been chewing on it or is it in good shape Thanks, T
Duffer19
Never hit the fourteen 550 but did have the the original 4i Zoom (10 years ago?). I suspect Zoom would be easier but would prefer the more modern hybrid or fw now.

I'm sure there are others.....Airmuscle (Bridgestone), Mizuno MP Fli-Hi. This will replace 3/4 iron....want lower trajectory and similar set-up. Any thoughts/recommendations? EPONfreak
Gocchin, I'm betting you have some comparison pictures? top line, face, sole and from the toe would be interesting to compare the three. gocchin
Here are some I put together... There are actually two versions of the older 858 driving iron. One retail one and one that was made for the tour with less offset.
TBone
Anyone hit the Fourteen's and the PRGR's....and could provide some additional insights? I've hit the 858, 660, but never the 550. Played one of the original PRGR 200, but not new model. Also, any other iron-type hybrids worth considering! I would "hate" to have to purchase all of them! gocchin
T the older Rac TP driving iron is nice driving iron as well, much more compact head and less offset. Here it is actually compared to the PRGR 220i:
gocchin
Damn haha now that I look at the pics, the prgr and tm look so good I think I gotta get me some!

Duffer19
Damn haha now that I look at the pics, the prgr and tm look so good I think I gotta get me some! I think it would be a mistake for you T. Driving irons are for those that do not like hitting FW or hybrid (but can) although they are considered just that. If you have a slow swing, a fw or wood-like hybrid would be more suitable.

Get them more for fun R. I actually don't like hitting FW's so much. I'm better with irons. I do like my G-field Hybrid anyway...
