Posted September 4, 200717 yr hi does anyone own one? im thinking of building my putter and this looks like something around my alley. still deciding on wether to start with PS1 or PS2. off my head i want it teflon coated with twin tungsten inserts and ofcourse the blinkers. wondering if the blinkers can be a bit longer and rectangular ala eldik or newport 2 detour. the round part of the blinker doesnt appeal to me as i am more receptive to soemthing angular. also wondering if that brass pin makes a big difference? i also saw the new sole design with some inserts at the bottom. is this a new option? since i dint like the feel of the premium zone i wont even bother with an insert. maybe a milled bettinardi honeycomb face if it wont break the bank. if you have any ideas help me out. thanks. both my putters are with my finace and dad so im left without one.
September 4, 200717 yr Author here are the gold's with blinkers something with rectangular blinkers like this would fit my eye more .
September 4, 200717 yr This is my PS2 http://www.goldsfactory.com/blog/archives/...8/29104443.html I should have them today. Will have a short review posted tomorrow, if I have the time. Lung-chia

Lung-chia While I dont read Japanese, did I make out the weight is 600 g? That's nice and heavy for the little O ring.

September 4, 200717 yr While I dont read Japanese, did I make out the weight is 600 g? That's nice and heavy for the little O ring. Actually what Sasaya-san said was that he's using a 110g Mamiya Frequency filter shaft, and the total weight came out to 572g but the head feels way to heavy because of the lighter shaft. Without using a long grip he had to add a cartridge (I'm guessing in the butt end to balance it out) the weight exceeded 600g! When the head is this heavy and a FF shaft is used, Sasaya is recommending the cartridge when only a regular iomic midsized is used.

September 4, 200717 yr In most cases Sasaya only builds custom putters when they are personal designs otherwise they are just plain PS 1 and 2's.
September 4, 200717 yr Just got it like 5 mins ago... All I can say is "WOW"... Actually, I don't find it on the heavy side... Maybe it's because I am just too excited... But I have always liked a heavier head, I don't mind the light shaft, maybe because my putting stroke... But still, need to see if I will have it tweaked with Sasaya-san in the future. Will let you guys know. Lung-chia

September 5, 200717 yr Here you go. Need a neo mallet headcover now... Anyone knows a good black neo mallet cover? Here's more pictures that Sasaya-san took. Pre-plating stage: Lung-chia Edited September 6, 200717 yr by HULC1105
September 6, 200717 yr Lung-chia, great pics! Looks fantastic man. I love how you got in real close... good job. So how does it roll the ball?
September 6, 200717 yr Author Here you go. Lung-chia very nice, how much more for the extra silver disk on the end of the blinker? how much more weight?
September 6, 200717 yr Sasaya-san has 5 or 6 different blinker styles. The big one with the silver disc as you saw C on the TSG one is around 63g of extra weight.... I'll have to check on the others (I think Lung-chia's is 33g) but here they are:

September 6, 200717 yr Author It can be a rectangle if you want... it can be any shape. awesome im on it! btw whats the diff between teflon black and black oxide?
September 6, 200717 yr The teflon black is a more even and smooth finish and apparently more durable too. It is pretty hard to apply but looks so good. (^_^)
September 6, 200717 yr Author The teflon black is a more even and smooth finish and apparently more durable too. It is pretty hard to apply but looks so good. (^_^) Thanks T youve been extremely helpful. just wondering why the other blinkers are not in the proshop options or website. top of my head these are the options i want: starting of with a PS2 1. Dual tungsten inserts 2. Teflon black 3. Rectangular blinker with 3 alignment aides ala eldik 4. a milled face ala betti honeycomb pattern btw what is the benefit of a brass pin? also slit line on sole of putter? also wondering if Gold's factory engraving or even "sasaya san" or Made in japan are extra? i would think that some form of minimum stamping would be included in the putter?
September 6, 200717 yr T, the ball rolls beautifully on my carpet... :P As I still can't find time taking it out... As for the blinker, it actually has a quite embsrassing story behind it... When I ordered the putter with Chris/Jacque, I had the Blinker WITH the Disk in mind. And long after I placed the order, I suddenly was not quite sure whether or not I really want something that shiny on my all black putter... So, I msg Jacque and sent her a picture with all the crazy plating and markings on that Sliver Disk to cover the all shininess, that I DREW using Microsoft Paint~!!! (Don't laugh, my photoshop is acting all weird on me, I can't save files...) I was all worried out, and the picture looked like crap, I was even more worried... Then, when Jacque told me it was too late, the putter had already been sent out... I was so depressed, that I already decided that I was going to send it back to Sasaya-san to have it replated right after I receive the putter... Then I saw the pictures on GF's blog, when I was waiting for it to get here... I was like this... WHOO-PEE~!!! ...Yeah, I was that excited~ Anyways, I LOVE my PS#2. Now, go get yours. :) Lung-chia

September 6, 200717 yr Author T could you post more pics of other of sasaya-san's other blinkers? thanks
September 6, 200717 yr I love teh idea of the blinker! Is the blinker a permanent fixture or can it be put on and taken off as and when you wish?? I have a custome GF at teh moment but would love to add one of these!
