superbowl
Hi, i´d like to buy a set of miura iron heads to start the winter-"practice". My favorite is one of the folling miura heads, they are all offered by tourspecgolf. - Miura CB-3003 - Miura CB-3002 - Miura CB-1006 or - because i heared some good comments on them - the - Kyoei Golf Vega -V-Cavity. But i am not sure, which model will be the best for me. I have read the descriptions on tourspecgolf, but the deteilled informations come in japanese. The 3003 is referred as for "the lower handicap player", the 3002 (which looks like nearly the same iron top me) doesn´t have the recommendation. The 1006 look for me, like they have the smallest cavity of all these 3 models - are they the hardest to hit ? The Vega is in this list, because i heard good things about Kyoei and the head is very clean, without colored paintings. So .. where are the differences in these irons - which one to buy ? Oh, a few details to my person ... right now i have hcp 14, but ... i will really try to lower it to 9.x in the next season. Most propably i will use project x 6.5 shafts in anyone of these irons. Best regards, Stefan
thadeuce
I was actually about to make this same post. I would like to know which of the Miura heads you guys would recommend. I tried the blades and they were just too tough for me to control. I hit a demo 202 and it was like magic. I was wondering what other heads any TSG guys might advise... ClubHoUno
Miura Cb-202 USDM will be VERY VERY VERY hard to beat - in fact you can test this up against every single players CB iron ever made and it will still be very hard to beat. Only the use of fusion-spin welded hosels and two piece forgings might be a problem to a few select people - besides this fact, the Cb-202 is as good as it will ever get, when you look for the best of the best combination of design, satin finish, thin top line, zero offset, small sole with a rounded leading edge, feel, durability of finish in a forged club, resale value and chic bling factor. ranghips
I have the CB1006's and have tried both the other Miura offerings, IMO if you are a decent ball striker the CB1006 is the model to go for, they are relatively small heads, but for a players CB they are suprisingly forgiving and if you can hit the sweet spot most of the time they are just awesome. I have had mine for nearly a year and my handicap is now down by 4 full shots ( 12 to 8), and I,ve had a niggling injury for most of the season! Not sure about your choice of shaft, my clubmaker persauded me that the Nippons work best in the Miura heads and I am inclined to agree with him, the NS Pro's are just superb! Good luck with whatever you choose.

ClubHoUno
What are the differences bwteen the CB 202 vs. CB201? CB-202 has a slightly thinner top line than the CB-201 with a rounder toe to give it a sleeker look. Also new are some minor adjustments to the sole (added bounce) and a more round leading edge to improve overall playability and avoid too much digging. BigEasy
I'm thinking of getting a set of Miuras also. I'll probably get MB-5002's though. Are these satin finish by any chance?
