jacksonlui
how come there are so many caddy bags as compared to the one cart bag in the pro shop? i think most of us ride and don't have people carrying our bags, wouldn't we want a cart bag with the putter and pockets in front, woods back, and some sort of strap loop? gocchin
In Japan they rarely use the term "Cart" bag.... Almost all bags are pretty much cart/caddy bags as everybody rides in Japan. Also the higher tech larger carts they use can all accomodate even pro sized caddy bags which is why they don't really distinguish cart bags regularly though some models may be named that way. The way bags mount in Japan on carts is on a close to 45* angle with the opening facing back and out so all clubs are easily accessible no matter what the design of the bag. jacksonlui
wow, thanks for the info. i didn't know the carts allow a 45 degree angle in Japan, that's awesome. the ones here in the states are crappy, it basically stands up and a cheapo strap goes around it and sometimes comes loose and your bag falls on it's head and all your irons are banged up. Duffer19
Besides golf carts, you would find a real caddy in Japan but one caddy could serve up to 4 golfers with direct or remote control electric golf trolly that would holds all 4 bags in a row. I believe T might have been referring to the 45* angle in one of those contraption.
gticlay2
Although I haven't played in Japan (only been inside the Narita airport but didn't get to explore Japan GRRRRR!) I have played a lot of rounds in Taiwan and Vietnam. They typically have a remote controlled cart that follows the cart path and nobody has to carry anything or ride/drive. Nice walk and you don't have to worry about that poor little girl carrying your clubs around (seems like a lot of the caddies are girls over there).
