jacksonlui
hi, X-Evolution is 50g with a diamond cross pattern Sticky is 48g and looks like a tour velvet and costs a little more Who has tried both and what do you think? Which grip gets more play in the JPGA? They do last twice as long as my multicompound reds so they are worth the price, they are also much easier to clean. I guess I'll have to put up my bag full of multicompound reds for sale =) thanks Jack Edited November 26, 2007 by jacksonlui
gocchin
Stickys have far more play on the Japanese tour... barely anyone plays the X's as they are not as soft or as sticky as the stickys. Have you tried the Nowon's? The Sticky's would be the closest to the NO1 grips in style and feel.
jacksonlui
i haven't tried them, perhaps I should give the sticky a try. The X-evolution has a nice pattern and is advertised for larger hands. however after some measurements, they are not that different than the red multicompound in terms of diameter, after measuring it down every inch of the grip. about a 0.01 inch difference with the iomic being larger. Spoon
i ahev tried the stickys. imho they are good but what i like about them is the colors. frankly i am happy with my GP new decade multicompound. if the iomics were cheaper i would have gone that route a long time ago.
