Mine will have the Axiv-X shaft i should have posted this when i got mine but dint want to be mean:) oh well here ya go. and i got mine with the axiv x ofcourse. i am amazed the more i use it. have another one on order with the tour ad emb shaft. they say that this is an even better macth compared than the axiv x. honestly though the x seems like the perfect mate for this head but with all the technology going into shafts anything is possible. December 21, 200717 yr Author I'm getting the Axiv X shaft. If for some reason I don't like it, I'm going to move an X Con 6 from an unused driver into the Epon.
December 21, 200717 yr Looks like everyone is getting EMB with AxivX. I hope it performs as expect!!!!

December 23, 200717 yr It's here.... will be at the Driving range in a couple of hours to hit it.... Back from the range.... hit about 40 balls. Will try and give a good review later tonight after Moms X-mas Party Edited December 24, 200717 yr by idrive
December 24, 200717 yr My first thoughts: First off, this shape of the square driver has always turned me off. I am very much stuck on the traditional looking clubs. I actually started getting used to the shape. The corners are rounded off just enough to keep it from looking square. The face is not nearly as deep as the 460ZR. The 460ZR has a nice thud sound... the first ball I hit with the EMB, I jumped about 3' in the air as it makes a very loud KATANK!!!! It might be as loud as any Driver I have ever heard. I must say it really surprised me. It seems that almost every ball I hit went in the same place. I purposely hit a few off the toe, the heel, high on the face, low on the face, it didn't seem to matter, the ball went straight ahead. I swung hard and easy. Slow tempo and fast tempo.. the ball went straight. I had to really exaggerate a draw or fade swing to get the ball to move. I will say the Axiv-X shaft seems to be an excellent match up for the Driver. Distance: 48* - Range balls. Tough to get a good comparison. Seemed to carry very nicely but can't compare it until I get it out on the course. The one thing I did notice is that there was NO ballooning. I'm hoping to get in at least 9 tomorrow. I'll be surprised if I miss a fairway with it. Final review tomorrow if I get to play.

If it goes as straight as you say, then it has accomplished its primary objective which is forgiving straight. Let us know how it goes on your home course. (^_^)
