xchangmanx
The all black appearance is truly pleasing to the eyes. I hope more manufactures make that move.

K2_2
It is real good looking wow!! But im stil concerned about the hosel sleeve. No need to worry about the hosel sleeve on the Plus!!! There were a few problems with a batch of the regular/non-Plus 2008 driver, but that has been remedied, and I have not heard about any problems with the plus. EDIT... Ben, I didn't see that info until after you mentioned it. I guess the search for a driver will go on Edited January 17, 2008 by K2_2
gus
Something posted on another site about the faces cracking; any news on this Chris?
+TourSpecGolfer
My swing speed doesn't crack faces so i couldn't tell you to be honest. I will say that this is a mediocre driver in its stock form. I'm not going to attempt to re shaft it as their are many others that I have that feel a bit better and are easier to hit with noticeably more distance. They should have also went with a traditional non adapter type hosel as our customers don't always have club makers who are familiar with the product or can obtain the adapter. Folk's please don't ask us for the adapter, please contact Daiwa directly. Sexy looking club but I'm spoiled on the Epon's performance. I'm sure others could configure it with their favorite shaft and get great results from it.
gus
As sexy as this one is it just seem worth it! Looking forward to in hand pics of the tour Yamaha!
+TourSpecGolfer
Hit it again today, did a little better. It still flew a bit low compared to even lower lofted drivers, the feel is a bit on the hard side at impact. The stock shaft was quite soft for a stiff flex and like the Roddio took a little time to get used to, I would figure this would give it some launch but it didn't. This could be a great club for someone trying to get the ball flight down. This could be their plan as it is the + model. very nice profile from above. K2_2
Hi Chris, Interesting thoughts. If you ever take it on a launch monitor I would be curious about the spin, as I've heard it was supposed to be 'relatively' low spin. Do you think that is part of the reason for the lower flight?
