Yoichi or YO1 wedges

Parmaster from GolfWRX was able to help me identify the company and website for an awesome looking wedge pictured at the PGA Show. Apparently, these are the new wedges from the same gentleman that did the Zodia wedges. Any idea if these may be available through TSG at some point?

The website they have listed is: http://www.yo1golf.com. It's really only a PDF of their catalog.

Thanks.

If your really into high end Japanese golf clubs I would stay away from these.

YO1 is not a new company, it is based out of Korea their product is considered sub standard, Believe it or not Zodia barely makes their own golf clubs.

The advert on the YO1 website says they are hand ground by Mr. Chiba, that my friend is false. These are catalog heads. I used to buy the same heads 4 years ago for a fraction of what they charge now. Tolerance and head weights are poor at best also. These guys are charging 1300, Geotech charged 600 for 3-PW + 2 wedges. You guys don't even want to know how much these heads are sold for in Lapacho golf catalog.

A good rule of thumb is when you see a dozen brands with the same model head its not a good buy.

Last year two of their staff came onto TSG basically pumping up the brand in the forums, its the same guy who is on WRX trying to sell the product now. Both were banned. The one thing they didn't expect is that we really know our JDM gear and where and how its made.

Good lookin' out.

No one was pushing the YO1 brand on WRX. The pics of the irons and wedges were posted on the PGA Show photos, and no one could identify who or what they were. No one knew anything about the brand, which sparked a few exchanges about the product.

There doesn't appear to be interest, but as a Zodia wedge player, my interest was sparked. Thanks for the value statement.
