languidcrane
I have the 52* and 56* copper x-wedges. The 52* is fine as is, but I would like to put a grind on the 56* to make it more versatile around the greens. Has anyone done this to the copper finish. I guess I want to know what the finish will look like after it has been ground. Will it need to be refinished?

I have a set that has passed around a few hands on TSG. 52 and 58 copper x wedges that were tuned by Carl. It removes the finish, and rust spots can develop. Nothing that diminishes performance, durability, or feel in my opinion. There are pics under the WITB section if care to take a look. languidcrane
Thanks Bruinduke, that was exactly what I was looking for. I think I'm going to have a c-grind put on the 56*
Spoon
Thanks Bruinduke, that was exactly what I was looking for. I think I'm going to have a c-grind put on the 56* carl no longer grinds other brands of wedges since he started his own wedge company. languidcrane
carl no longer grinds other brands of wedges since he started his own wedge company. I remember Chris saying that a while ago - I have someone in the Atlanta area that does nice wedge work.
