I personally have no idea whatsoever but i'm really as to what you guys think. Would Tiger Woods play better golf (lower consistent scores) if he were to switch over to strictly Japanese golf equipment? Driver, woods, irons, wedges, putter, shafts, ball. He gets to choose whatever Japanese brands he likes best, fitted flawlessly to his specs of course. Would he be a better golfer? Please, lets hear your opinions.

Can he get any better?? Who knows. At his level, it may not matter which brand he is playing!

Also who's to say some of his Nike gear is not already from Japan? (^_^)

Tiger's clubs are made in Japan except for his putter, They are nothing like the retail versions in the states.

And no his irons and wedges are not Miura forged like his old Titleist Irons were.

I had heard Tiger only plays Miura forgings and that his Nikes were specially made from Miura.

Tiger could win with a stick of celery......it's the rest of us that need help with our clubs.

That said Tiger is a perfectionist and I have little doubt his clubs are perfect for him AND forged in Japan.

Hmm.. What part of his clubs are from Japan? His iron/wedge shafts are made in the US... The heads are made in Fort Worth TX, so maybe the Grips, ferrules, and wood shafts are made in japan... does that count?

They use a Japanese made die or tooling and the head would be forged in Japan also. It could be hand ground in the states finished off, polished or refinished. IMO Nike does just about all its work overseas aside from post production adjustments. In the past he has used only used Japanese forged clubs and he is using the same now.
